Here is a good website which will answer your question and more. I bought this laptop E550 in August 2015.
Haven't tested the battery for long periods, but once I did use it on battery power only for about 2 hours, web searching.
It's a great machine, no problems.

It comes with Windows 7 Pro, but there is a paper inside the box that shows you how to make it Windows 8.1.

Yes the battery is removable. I had to remove it when I installed a new 500GB SSD, replacing the 500GB HD. My E550 is very new, it was just cheaper for me to purchase the SSD I wanted instead of buying the product as a package.

Don't want windows 8.1. Is windows 10 available and if so, is there an incremental cost?

For this model, I had Windows 7 pro x64 pre-installed but yes you can have the free Windows 10 upgrade at the moment as you're qualified to upgrade. Remember now, the upgrade is for the Windows Home version. So if you're keen on having Pro, then I'd get a copy of Windows Pro (x64)

How can I get the Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit that was advertised? My company says Windows 10 is not compatible with their software.

The laptop comes with a key for Windows 8 embedded into the BIOS. If you can get an ISO for Windows 8 or 8.1 it should upgrade the OS and see the key automatically.

What does this mean, "Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit / Windows 7 Professional downgrade"? I need a computer that comes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed. Can you help me?

It just means your getting windows 7 but you can upgrade for free to windows 8.1. Which is now not available your upgrade will go to windows 10 for free. I just bought and upgraded my E550

Does this come with Intel graphics per your specs or AMD per reviwer?

I had to research this myself. According to Lenovo, if the laptop has the HD resolution of 1920x1080, which this one does, it comes with the dedicated separate AMD video card and it's a Radeon R7 M260. Only the regular resolution of 1366x768 comes with no separate video card and graphics are driven from Intel's built in CPU graphics driver.

No.
As noted in the specs,max supported memory is 8GB.
However, since the graphics is a separate card with its own 2GB dedicated memory, 8GB should be plenty for all but the most demanding of tasks.
