Pros: Outstanding deal from Newegg ... again!! Out of the box, this laptop will not disappoint. Understand that you are buying a $4 bill lap so you do not get a lot of the bells & whistles. (See below on how to compensate.) Functionally, you will be pleased! This is a little beyond an entry level machine so if your demands are average, this Lenovo will suits your needs .. plus. Don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this purchase.

Overall Review: * I upgraded the stock 250GB/5400 HD with a 500GB/7200 HD, purchased on sale from Newegg. Easy swap out. * I upgraded the stock wireless card (b/g) with an Intel 5100, thus adding 'n' capabilities which doubled range and response. Easy swap out. * I added a $5.00, 26 in 1, new USB card reader to compensate for no internal reader. Works great. * I added a $5.00, new 4 USB hub, just in case I found 3 not to be enough. Carried in laptop bag, I have never found a need for a 4th USB. So, for under $1 bill, I transformed this machine into a very formidable lap. The Lenovo out of the box is a good unit; it is now an excellent investment. Even with a huge amount of software loaded, the stock processor coupled with the 500GB HD, has this laptop screaming!!! Speed tests show it blowing away my impressive desktop PC.

Pros: I bought 2 of these for resale to my customers. At three ninty nine each it was a very good bargain. This is easily a no-brainer deal even at four ninty nine! You won't be disappointed BUT you will need to turn off ALL of the junk software that Lenovo ships on their products. Then it will run incredibly fast.

Cons: All the bloat-ware that ships with Lenovo PCs needs to be disabled immediately. The Facial Recognition software has to be uninstalled to disable it. Google "msconfig windows 7 lenovo" to learn how to disable al the Lenovo junk-ware. No other cons whatsoever!

Pros: Great, great price, faster than any of our other computers with little problem setting up. [I only have average experience] BUY THIS ON SALE FOR $399. You won't be sad!

Cons: Shipping took longer from New Egg than usual, {6 days}, but I got it and it was packed very well. As others have said the keyboard is set up a little different, but I have gotten use to it pretty fast. Some of the bloat ware I uninstalled keeps coming back.

Overall Review: I read all the reviews before buying this. If you do a search of this computer the new egg reviews pop up. This my first laptop that I don't have to share and I love it. Read the reviews and remove the bloat ware that some with more experience suggest so you don't have all the screens pop up everytime you use it.[very annoying] If you want a general purpose laptop you can't go wrong with this.

Pros: This is a great buy for anyone looking for a solid everyday-use laptop. The hardware for this day and age is up-to-par (not top-of-the-line, but not too far off either). It is best to note that this machine is not at all a gaming rig (hopefully no one bought one thinking it was). Speed is usually something I consider "user perception," i.e. "What's slow to me may be quick to you and vice-versa," but considering the price of the machine and the hardware, you really won't be disappointed. In the aesthetic department, the laptop feels very sturdy and quite light when carrying, and the visual design is appealing. My fiancee' loves the design, despite it being hard plastic. I found that for almost $300 off, I could be without shiny surfaces and eye candy that a lot of HP/Dell users complain about (no fingerprints/oil smudges here).

Cons: I was a little irritated that the FSB was clocked at 800MHz and the memory was clocked at 1066Mhz. Given that the laptop shines everywhere else, not really that big of a deal.

Overall Review: Final word from me is that this is an overall great buy. If it's still available at $399.99, GET IT! As long as you understand that this is an everyday-use, browse-the-internet-and-write-in-Word kind of machine, you won't regret it a bit.

Pros: 4gb of ddr3.. a great cpu outdoing all within the price range, a great company a decent sized hdd and most of all 400$...

Cons: newegg prices make me buy things i dont really need, but for 400$ you cant go wrong.

Pros: Great quality laptop with plenty of power for mobile computing and the price was right. It has a hard shell and the hinges are very solid, it gives you a good feeling that it's going to stay together. Nice sharp graphics and very bright, can see it in full sun.

Cons: Battery only lasts 2.5 hours with full screen brightness, possibly 3 hours if you went dimmer.

Overall Review: I wanted a low cost laptop to knock around with, to carry to meetings and what not. This fit the bill.

Pros: PRICE. Outstanding value at 399. Windows 7 works well, 4 gigs ram, Office included. Value value value.

Cons: Screen viewing angles can be poor sometimes. Touchpad is irritating (I purchased a travel USB mouse to match)

Overall Review: Worked out of the box. Looks decent. Touchpad is glitchy, but not as awful as some have indicated. Couldnt find a way to adjust the sensitivity. Screen is a little small, and with some bad viewing angles it can be a bummer. But its not that bad really. Only a small nitpick for 399. Id consider buying another for basic use if needed.

Cons: - no HDMI.. i won't really use this anyway - weak webcam, only 0.3mp.. i don't use it much, but you can always buy a decent one for 20-50 bucks - speakers don't get too loud.. i mostly use headphones anyway - no cardreader, but you can buy one for like fifty cents off meritline.com.. just wait till it gets on sale

Overall Review: i am going to be a college student. i mostly use the internet, and watch videos, and use office applications. if you're looking for a great computer with multi-tasking power, this is your best bet there are some small ways in which this system could be a little better.. but a laptop like this for 399 is a GREAT DEAL!
