Pros: I bought 3 of these monitors for myself and my husband for Christmas. These apply to all 3 monitors: - Good quality picture for gaming, movies and text once settings are adjusted (see cons) - Matte screen - no glare at all even in my southern California home with a massive wall of windows. I use dark themes in my development environment and got a lot of glare on my previous glossy monitor, to the point that I couldn't work. No glare is a beautiful thing.
Cons: - Menus: There are actually 2 menus, one under "menu" and one under "func". Both of these menus contain color settings. The "menu" button contains individual brightness/contrast/gamma etc... and the "func" button contains preset cinema/gaming/text etc... It would be more intuitive if these were combined, and would probably solve a lot of user frustration. - Calibration: Right out of the box, the default settings made the colors look washed out. A little tweaking and this monitor display is as beautiful as I could expect. - The "smart energy saving" feature caused one of the monitors to have a very annoying repetitive bright->dim->bright->dim swing while my husband was watching some video as it adjusted to the changing brightness in the show. Once the smart energy saving was turned off, the monitor functioned perfectly, but it required some time hunting and testing in those unfriendly menus. - The power cord is short. It's not terrible, but it could use another 2-3 feet of length.
Overall Review: I bought these monitors because I need a few things that I knew the LG monitors deliver: - great picture quality for graphic art and gaming - Anti-glare: I cannot stand any kind of glare on my screen and the 3H finish on the LG monitors delivers on that promise, even with windows all around and a big, bright high-light aquarium behind my right shoulder. I could watch my fish swim almost as well as if I were looking at the tank with my old monitor, but with these I am never distracted by glare. Thank you LG! - Good build quality. My husband dropped my other 27" LG monitor on it's corner on the driveway when we were moving, hard enough to do quite a bit of damage to the bezel. It still works flawlessly. NOTE: Another review states that these monitors do not have HDMI ports. That is wrong, the specs are correct.
Pros: Clear picture, large wide screen, easy to configure, price was awesome for the small annoyances.
Cons: The power cord is too short and it is a special cord that you can't replace with a longer one.
Overall Review: When it goes to sleep it has the white LED light that blinks and I can't figure out how to turn it off, not horrible, but it should have a turn the darn thing off feature,
Pros: Price (paid $150) Color Size I replaced a 23" monitor I had with two of these for a dual screen set up. I have had no issues and this is exactly what I was looking for. The picture quality is great for games, movies, or everyday use.
Cons: The base/neck that connects the monitor is a little wobbly. The first desk I had my monitors set up on was wobbly itself, so combined together it was extra wobbly. However, the desk I am now using is stable and the monitors only wobble when I actual touch them. Also when the monitor goes into sleep mode, the flashing light is insanely bright. You could use the light to guide ships at sea. But its an easy fix, just turn off the monitor, which is what I have been doing now. Not a big deal, just annoying at first.
Overall Review: For the price I got these monitors at ($150 each) and the size, along with it being LG, this product has not disappointed.
Pros: I am a graphic designer and develop print marketing materials for companies across the country. I got this monitor because I wanted a bit extra screen space for Photoshop, Indesign, etc. etc. my previous Samsung had color issues and did not render properly with photoshop. So, I thought I'd try this IPS budget monitor. I gave it high rating because for the price it does the job well. Ive noticed often people give a low rating on a product because of unreasonable expectations. If your looking for an ultra high def monitor then get one. This is a budget larger screen monitor that I think as a professional print designer is great for me. The screen has almost a matte finish with the antiglare coating that gives a more realistic finish look when designing for print. It's easier on the eyes then my previous monitors. Yes, you may find other monitors with deeper pixel depth but not a 27 at this price. I actually bought one then ordered another after a few weeks for my business. I think its a great monitor for any business and well worth the money. I bought 2 smaller 19.5 LG monitors that were very similar in appearance to this one, thinking that they would be the same quality just smaller, but they were not. The screen on those had a weird halo glow (they were not IPS) so I got rid of them and just order another one of these 27" IPS monitors.
Cons: None
Pros: Good color balance*, No light bleed on this example, Sturdy stand, HDMI, Easy to use controls, Great price on sale.
Cons: Not really that bright but should have known this when seeing the specs(200 cd/m2).
Overall Review: * When Calibrated! I grabbed this when it was on Black Friday discount($119.00), so it was a great deal. I like LG monitors and this one didn't disappoint. It has good color balance after a calibration (should be done on all new monitors IMHO), easy to use controls, and has great viewing angles due to it's IPS spec. Honestly, for $119.00, this was a steal. My only regret? Not grabbing two more at that price for a great eyefinity set up....ah well, hindsight is indeed 20 20 :-) Even at the regular price, this is a great IPS 27" monitor, go for it if you're on the fence about it.
Pros: Cheap- Got it for 119$ on black Friday. Bought an older model last year for 200$ and fell in love with the IPS. Does not give me a headache when staring at the screen all day. Cant go wrong with a 27 inch for that price
Cons: -Had to manual calibrate the monitor. -Low color spectrum.
Overall Review: -Mine did not have image bleed like others have stated.
Pros: Fairly inexpensive IPS panel. No dead pixels. Big screen, nice colors, fairly fast, movies look good with little blur. Games look great and personally I wouldn't see the difference between a 2ms monitor and this one. Over all I am very pleased.
Cons: Edge bleeds, but wasn't that hard for me to fix, and it was really noticeable in the lower left hand corner when showing dark colors. The fix isn't that hard and I did not want to have to send it back and wait for another monitor. I would have given this 5 eggs if I didn't have to fix a brand new monitor.
Overall Review: Over all I am pleased it was a big upgrade from a 22 inch monitor.

Pros: Gorgeous screen; color is exceptional; matte screen is clear from any angle and has the added reader modes when needed; DVI and HDMI input; Vesa mounting holes: LG quality and name. Product arrived in two days instead of the promised 4 to 7!!!! Talk about speedy service! DVI cord is included; energy star. Lovely screen.
Cons: If you are using the included stand vs. mounting on a wall arm, the stand does not have a height adjustment or swivel. It does tilt and it is at a good height for most people I would think on a standard height desk surface, but you should be aware in case your situation is different. If you need swivel or height adjustment then this screen can still work with a vesa wall mount or other provision that is not included. HDMI cord is not included Also don't like accessing the menu from the buttons on the bottom right corner under the screen...BUT once preferences are set then it really becomes a non-issue.
Overall Review: We are indeed becoming an LG house. Their products never seem to disappoint. Nice workable size. I was debating on going for a higher resolution but this screen has turned out to be an absolutely perfect choice. I use if for both design programs and music notation in addition to basic everyday tasks. It is larger enough without being too large. At this price it is scary how good the quality is. Love it!!!
