LG L227WTG-PF Black 22" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 10000:1DCR with HDCP Support

Pros: Best monitor for gaming and watching videos in the 22'" category due to 2ms response time and 0 input lag. Very sleek and shiny design. The thin and glossy minimalistic bezel complements its glossy screen. The gloss makes images look "sweeter", vibrant, and more enticing compared to regular matte screens. I had been using matte screens for the longest time and didn't know what I was missing! If you can't stand even the slightest reflections, this monitor is not for you. The advantages to be had is in sweeter picture quality compared to a matte finish (If you choose matte, you will sacrifice some picture quality) Just make sure to control/position your lighting and you will reap the rewards this monitor has to offer. Black levels are superb as well as overall color reproduction. This monitor will play 720p HD movies (1080p not supported due to lower screen size) No ghosting detected in games either.

Cons: 1) Stand is a bit wobbly (Should be of no concern to most people) 2) No height adjustment 3) DVI cable not included 4) Not for those who like a matte finish or work in bright reflective environments 5) Wish LG made a 24"(1920x1200) glossy version to experience full 1080p HD

Overall Review: Make sure to calibrate monitor settings as the default settings are way off. Lowering the gamma to -50 is the most important as I find that it brings out the colors as well as the black levels. These are my following settings: Brightness: 50, Contrast: 62, Gamma: -50, Red: 50, Green: 44, Blue: 45, Sharpness: 5

Pros: best color and sharpness of any tn lcd that I've seen, Got this one on sale for 229.99 with free shipping cant beat it.this is my 3rd one, bought my son one for christmas and brother inlaw bought one,I had to wait for mine because they sold out at local store when I went to pick up one for myself.glad I did now I saved 40.00 from bb's sale price and 100.00 from there reg price with tax.

Cons: stand adjustment,no hight adjustment just tilt and spin glossy screen ,i checked this out at local best buy before i bought it ,only notice glare if there is a bright light behind you,my light is on ceiling and screen looks great. had to buy a dvi cable only came with vga.

Overall Review: buy it..has the best color and picture of any thing i saw at local stores....,

Pros: Very sharp contrast, accurate colours, perfect clarity... Played fast paced, intense FPS games with no ghosting. It also looks great, nice glossy black finish.

Cons: Zero, I can't think of a single thing that could be better.

Overall Review: Changing the "f" function to movie or text quality darkens the contrast/colour quite a bit, IMO it looks better that way.

Pros: Looks incredible, 2ms response time, beautiful colors, sleek, black design and easily navigable menus.

Cons: I'm not sure if this is a problem with my graphics card or if it is some type of auto-configuration to compensate for really dark areas in games, but the monitor gets brighter or dimmer, and flickers occasionally (all in a game)

Overall Review: Still an excellent buy. L227WTG is pretty close to L337WTF. Which I take as a sign this monitor is ridiculous.

Pros: This is an absolutely beautiful monitor. I was going to go 24", but decided to go 22" since I sit so close to my monitor.... i didn't want to have to turn my head to see the edges of the screen. Nice color, turned down brightness to 30 for my dark room, and contrast to 70. Base swivels. has VESA mount.

Cons: no DVI cable included... LGE should include a cable for the price of this monitor. go buy the link depot 6ft dvi-d cable.... works well. minimal tilt.

Overall Review: i really like the glossy screen on this. i thought i might be disappointed coming from a sony trinitron 19", but was not.

Pros: I waited to buy this and luckily it had a $60 price drop, grats me. Great monitor. Rated #1 gaming monitor by lcdresource.com, which I found out after I bought it.

Cons: Stuck pixel, but easily remedied. I've never actually had a dead pixel on a monitor, just stuck ones. You can easily fix this by applying some light pressure to the area. Just clean it like you normaly would with a soft cloth or paper towel with some safe solution or just slightly dampened with water. It will reactive the pixel. The default tint was very blue, had to lower the blue level considerably down to 20, but seems to have fixed it.

Overall Review: There is some glare/reflection to the glossy screen, but the same as you normally get with a CRT or television. You see it when the screen is off, but not really when it's on, so no worries. I'm coming from a 20" non-wide screen, and at 22" or above I recommend moving the monitor farther back to reduce eyestrain. In addition it helps with the viewing angle if you're farther back. Viewing angle is about as good as you'll get with this technology, none of the TNs are perfect. I wouldn't go lower than 170 with any monitor.

Pros: Great monitor...no issues ...fired right up......Beautiful colors

Pros: WAS a great monitor, until today.

Cons: Purchased 8/16/08, failed 7/18/09. Vertical blue lines 1/4" apart all the way across the display. Tested thoroughly, monitor is definately bad.

Overall Review: I don't recommend purchasing this monitor unless you're fine with it lasting 1 year or less.
