LG L246WP-BN 24" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 D-Sub, HDMI LCD Monitor with USB2.0 Hub and Height & Pivot Adjustments

Pros: Excellent display. 0 Pixel problems. Good color depth and imagery. Almost CRT Photo-Editing quality.

Cons: Almost. For the price this is a high quality device. If you are doing heavy editing or similar work, you still can't beat CRT

Overall Review: Someone else mentioned the lack of auto-find feature is kind of a pain. As a person who uses a combination of machines connected in different ways it can be a little extra work. But you get used to it, but for the average user it will never matter.

Pros: Amazing colors, 8-Bit panel, near-perfect viewing angles and a whole slew of inputs make this panel amazing. I was a bit skeptical about spending so much money on a monitor, but after countless hours of research, I finally realized that this monitor offers just about everything one needs in an LCD monitor for a reasonable price. I highly recommend it!

Cons: The black level isn't as good as my CRT monitors, but of course this isn't something that would discourage somebody from buying an LCD monitor since its the nature of the technology.

Overall Review: Well worth the money. Newegg handled a credit card company error without flinching. I placed an order for this product and it was paid for and shipped from California to New Hampshire in 36 hours. Outstanding craftsmanship from LG, coupled with amazing service from NewEgg and UPS made this experience exceed my wildest expectations!

Pros: After How Many Years, I'm still very happy with this monitor. The Price was steep at the time. but i must say best investment compared to some other products out there.

Cons: Well there is known issues with EDID and HDMI support with a picture offset. Ive been able to use a certain software to dump, edit and reflash with success. but sucks for the common user to have go through it. as far as dead pixels there was one that was able to be rendered out from beginning. but hey one out of millions aint bad. and then there is the Exploding capacitors on power board that make it shut off and on out of nowhere. never experienced that so don't know what to say, heard its a 5 dollar fix and about 30 minutes so cant wait. Who knows maybe i will pass it down to my grand kids :-)

Overall Review: LG Products Typically Blow in my eyes. But this product has come out on top if you find one used in awesome shape for cheap go for it you wont be upset.

Pros: Very bright and vivid picture quality. I recently bought a HP 2207, HP w2408, and even the Samsung 226cw which i returned all of them (Luckily i bought those at best buy). I don't know if it was me but it was really a pain to calibrate all of them and picture quality isn't up to par with what i wished. Once I plugged the LG in, the first thing i noticed was that the monitor did not require much calibration other than the fact that the monitor was a little bit on the bright side. It does help that this monitor uses P-MVA panel and not the useless TN panels. I haven't noticed any ghosting in games much and I do play a lot of games.

Cons: THe button placement and blurry non native mode.

Overall Review: Use this monitor for PC use and get the Benq if your going for more of the console gaming use.

Pros: Great picture quality. Bright. Love the tilt features. No dead pixels. Overall compared to my last 24" wide screen Viewsonic that I have returned... this one is much better and cheaper.

Cons: I tried watching 1080 HDTV movies from my HD Comcast Cable Box. The picture is not all that great and it is about a second behind from the sound. I have not yet tried the HD-DVD player... it may just be the Cable Box.

Pros: Huge amount of on-screen real estate gives plenty of room for editing space and control pallets. Easy to set up and calibrate using Colorvision Spyder2Pro resulting in outstanding color accuracy. Good, clean design with excellent fit and finish. Multiple inputs let me use this as a 1080P high def television. Inputs are changed by a single button on the front bezel. No more navigating though menus! Pivot function is handy when working on portrait format images. DVI/HDMI and d-sub cables included. Base provides a good range of height, angle and pivot adjustments. sRBG color space available.

Cons: Overly bright and color inaccurate out of the box (big, fat, hairy deal). On-screen menus are a little confusing at first.

Overall Review: Due to the high native resolution, you'll need a very high quality display card. For gaming and/or watching hi-def video, get nothing short of an x1950PRO or 8800GTS if you want to get the best out of this diplay.

Pros: This is a great 24" gaming/video monitor. I originally bought the Samsung 245BW and was very disappointed with it, so I swapped it out for this one. This one is way better! Decent view angles for a fast panel (MVA I think). I had a pair of Viewsonic VX900's before this and this baby is much easier to work with in Premiere Pro2. Eventually I'll have a pair of these and a third photography/design 24" (probably LED by the time I get it) for an incredible 3 x 24" setup. 5760x1200 is a beast.

Cons: Some would freak out about the DVI-D to HDMI cable because the monitor doesn't have a DVI port. Big deal? Spend more money if you want to use this for exclusively for Photoshop because it's middle of the road, equal to my Viewsonic VX900s.

Pros: Was easy to set up and snap together to its’ heavy round base. Screen does not wobble around while gaming or typing, all around seems well constructed. Adjusted brightness down some and set resolution in CP brought out a beauty I never had from my previous gaming monitor. Uses the hdmi>dvi cable. Good even backlighting, good viewing angles, no noticeable lag, no ghosting when gaming. Black levels are very good and I can see more sharp details I never saw on my 19” vx922. No dead pixels. Bioshock looks amazing.

Cons: Some might complain that they have to turn down the brightness as it will blind you until adjusted but no big deal. All menu buttons are located under bottom of monitor and almost flush which makes it cumbersome to maneuver through menu but not impossible. Has annoying power saving feature which cannot be turned off, When powering on my system I rarely see the boot up screen in time because of power saving feature so I listen for the initial beep from the mb if I need to get into bios screen.

Overall Review: A lot of useful information available at [H]ardfo**ms, LG L246wp thread. This monitor has the same MVA panel as the L245wp but no DVI>DVI connect. I bought this at local store b*stby for less. My system: EVGA 680i CD2 e6600 8800gtsoc640
