Pros: None.

Cons: This burner has some type of virtual software built into the drive called "Bluebirds". Bluebirds is advertisement linked to the LG website to get you to buy more LG products. If you choose not to install the software you will be prompted to install it every time you close the drive door. If you install it you get the tray icons pointing to more LG products. If you remove it from the startup it adds itself back to the startup every time you close the drive door.

Overall Review: You have been WARNED! Newegg took the drives back hassle free, their still the best.

Pros: It is a SATA DVD Burner

Cons: As stated below, it comes with some kind of firmware where if you close the cd door with no cd in it, it autoruns something that asks you to install a program called "bluebirds" which is adware at best. Newegg was great and credited the money back to me and told me to throw the drive away or do whatever I wanted with it.

Overall Review: Not worth the price of shipping.

Cons: Drive comes preloaded with "bluebirds" software prompts you to install it everytime the tray is closed. Wondering why LG would allow something like this to be loaded in their products.

Pros: Installed with no issues, burned several dvds and cds with no coasters. SATA drive.

Overall Review: Some people have complained about the bluebird adware popping up each time the drive door is closed which would be very annoying to deal with for sure but there is a firmware update that removes it. I am not sure if the drive I received has the new version of the firmware or not but my 1st door closing opened up a EULA agreement which gave me the option to decline and to further select to NEVER remind which I selected and after several "empty" door closings, nothing has popped up since.

Pros: Great price and features

Cons: "Bluebirds" is installed if you install any of the software from the included CD-ROM.

Overall Review: LG website has a utility to disable Bluebirds. Easy enough to do but LG should not have inflicted this "feature" on its customers.

Overall Review: When you install the drive, it does ask you about the bluebird software. Hit the button for 'do not show again' and hey presto, it doesn't show again. It's really not that hard... Mark this as unhelpful if you wish, but I promise you the option was there. This is a great drive, and I'd suggest it to anyone.

Pros: It burns and reads CDs and DVDs.

Cons: As other reviewers have pointed out, this drive comes with some sort of "virtual disk" on it that is "inserted" when no disk is in the drive. It is absolute lunacy on the part of LG to think that anyone would want this. I currently own an LG TV, Refrigerator, and (this) DVD-R/RW Drive, but if anyone from LG is reading this I want you to know that you have LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.

Overall Review: LG (or NewEgg) needs to pull this drive.

Pros: Cheap, fast, and quiet. Fits perfectly in the case. LG hasn't disappointed me ever.

Cons: No cables or screws, but it's OEM so make sure you have your own.

Overall Review: The newest revision no longer has that Bluebird adware so it is safe to buy. If you have an older one, you can download new firmware on LG's website to get rid of it.
