If you mean use this as a range extender, the answer is no. It does a really good job of picking up a weak wireless signal and making available to wired devices.  However, it doesn't rebroadcast the signal nor relay requests from a wireless device like a range extender would.

In my application it took a wireless signal that was about 1-bar and pretty likely to suffer drops and made it available with almost no dropped packets.  The bandwidth at my cable modem to the web is 30MB, it is 30MB from the ports of the device, that is what this is good for.

I haven't tried, but it might work to add a low-end wireless router on one of the four ports as an access point, but it probably would work.  However, if you are only looking for a range extender this isn't for you.

Question 3

I need a wireless bridge that connects one or more wired clients however the uplink to the WAN needs to be 5.8AC.  will this product or any other product do this?

I have the WES610-N installed for 3 months in my first floor family room. I have my Yamaha RX675 audiovideo cabled into it as well as my Sony 46" flatscreen TV (pre smart model). I have a Linksys E4200 wireless router conencted to the internet - located in a 2nd floor room (used for home office). The WES610 is doing both 2.4GHz and 5.0Ghz at the same time; but I have not checked the various wireless devices to see what GHz they are connecting at.

I can see thousands of Interent radio stations from all over the world, and each one I tried has broadcast music wihtout any problems; I use Netflex, the HD shows & movies are flawless on the Sony (as good as any DVD); So far the unit has met my expectations and then some.

Can I use this to turn my usb external HDD into a wireless?

You could connect an ethernet external HD to it (via CAT5/6 cable).  I don't recall that this media bridge has a USB port.  I can't check immediately, because I bought it for my parents and it's at their house. 
     It should be possible if you used a USB/ethernet adapter.

Yes, that would be a common setup.  I ran the one I bought to a four-port router (via wireless) for my parents, with the router serving 1 PC, 2 Macs, and the media bridge.

Will this work instead of the verizon bios router, or should it be daisy chained in series.  Want to increase speed of wireless system?

I think you need your Verizon wireless router in place.  This device receives a signal  from the wireless, and puts it out he back to a 4 port switch.   You might use it to supply data to a computer and a couple of non-wifi printers some distance from your master router.  The software that comes with the package hides a lot of the setup, so if it goes South, it is often a matter of reset to factory standard and do it over.   The earlier version of this had little software.

If you have the pushbutton  devices for linking wifi devices, that probably works better than the software package.
