Pros: Uses SATA interface so no need to worry about jumpers & slave/master setup. It's very fast reading & burning CD's. Short length works well in small cases. Budget freindly price.
Cons: Doesn't read DVDs as fast as my other drives. All Lite-On drives are loud. No support on Lite-On's website.
Overall Review: I wanted to add a 3rd drive to my system and this drive was a perfect choice. I'm a little diappointed by the DVD performance but hopefully this can be fixed by a firmware update in the future.
SPECS: AN8 32X; A64 FX-55; 1GB Ballistix RAM; WD 320GB HDD; NEC & Samsung 18x DVD Burners; Antec SmartPower 2.0 450W PSU
Pros: VERY fast drive. Ripped almost twice as fast as my old Samsung IDE drive. VERY quiet. Shallow drive, about 3/4" shorter than a Samsung SM-348.
Cons: Would have been nice if it had a 4 pin Molex power connector. Not a big deal.
Overall Review: Would be a great drive for a quiet or small form factor system due to the easier cabling, shallow depth, and very quiet operation. Can't wait for them to come out with the DVD-RW version of this drive, I'll probably buy one for every PC in the house!
Pros: I have purchased Lite-On in the past, and they have always worked out just right. I gave it 5 stars since my other drives from them have never failed me.
Cons: I thought this was DVD Burner but it is ony a DVD-ROM. RMA and I'll get an IDE DVD-RW instead.
Overall Review: I wish LITE-ON had a SATA DVD-RW from Lite-On for around the same price as the IDE. The M2N32 SLI Deluxe carries only one IDE cable, and I had hoped to use it exclusively for an old hard drive.

No problems7/27/2007 12:45:53 PM
Pros: Works as advertized. No problems with boot or installation.
Cons: With my case it's hard to rech the eject button, but that's not really a con...
Pros: Very fast and quite. Very easy to install. Case temp dropped a degree because of better airflow now that I don't have any more IDE cables in there.
Cons: It took 6 days to get to me. Not neweggs fault, ordered friday afternoon, newegg had it processed and in UPSs hands before the night was over. UPS had its sitting in the same place for 2 whole shipping days, and took 5 to get here.
Overall Review: Make sure you have a Mpeg2 decoder with your media player if you want to watch dvds. Didn't know I needed one and media player 11 doesn't have one, so have to go buy one now. The price for one seems to average about ten bucks though.
Pros: Recognized perfectly. No problems booting from it. Fast.
Cons: none really.
