Having tried some alternatives, still the best wireless gaming mouse I've used.8/13/2013 10:35:46 AM

Pros: Unbeatable grip comfort. Lots of buttons. Great resolution range and excellent tracking on my wood veneer desktop without a mouse pad. Great, easy to use software. Can (in theory) be used either wired or wireless.

Cons: Suffers from many of the same problems of the previous generation G700. Cord is thick and stiff, really only suitable for charging and not actual use except in the most dire of emergencies. Single battery means very short battery life. The mouse occasionally just completely forgets all it's settings (with profile stored on the mouse) and has to be reprogrammed (this has happened to me twice in the month I've owned it)

Overall Review: I had an V1 G700, and unlike many here, I really had no major issues with it and it lasted me ~2.5 years. When it died, I decided to try some alternatives, and they were all VASTLY inferior in handling, responsiveness and features. The mouse is far from perfect, as my "con" comments show, but some of uprated super negative reviews of this mouse and the down rating of positive reviews seems suspect to me based on my experience with the product.

GREAT MOUSE!!!7/30/2015 11:42:48 PM

Pros: Was a little more expensive than what I had hoped to pay for a new mouse, but it was definitely worth it! Its great that its rechargeable, and can work while its charging, and seamlessly change to wireless mode without having to stop the game and vice versa. I didn't really need the extra buttons on the mouse, I just needed a good scroll wheel, a scroll wheel that tilted left and right, a good solid feel in my hand, and smooth wireless capability. This offers all that and more! And to my surprise the extra buttons don't get in the way at all! Its got a very solid and easy to understand battery life display function, and the extra keys do come in handy when you assign them functions that work for you.

Cons: The battery life doesn't seem to be that great. About maybe 12 hours of constant use til its completely dead, but after about 6 hours of constant use, its starts to lose its wireless distance pretty rapidly. The mouse works SEAMLESS Y while unplugged for about the few hours, even with the dongle a good distance away, which is important to me, because I sit pretty far away from my USB plug. But when the battery gets about half drained, so does the distance you can go, and you have to get MUCH closer ot the Dongle for it to work as effectively. I ended up running 2 USB extension Cords, one for the Dongle, and one for the mouses data cable, so that I can use the mouse seamlessly, even while charging. So although this isn't the PERFECT WIRELESS mouse, the fact that its rechargeable, and that you can plug it in on the fly, makes up for it.

Overall Review: As you can probably tell, I am not a HUGE gamer. So I can't speak to how well this mouse performs while in a game. But I can tell you that for an everyday mouse it holds its own. I am an IT Administrator by Day, and an Audio Engineer by night. Both occupations require me to have access to a trusted mouse at the home office. Especially when it comes to mixing, I need a mouse that can scroll fast, and is extremely accurate to the touch, and this mouse's changeable DPI settngs allows me to be extremely precise when I need to be, and extremely fast moving the rest of the time. It really is a great mouse, and I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a great rechargeable mouse with unmatched sensitivity, and a decent and fair price! I hope you find my review useful. Have a wonderful day!

Love it12/2/2014 2:33:56 PM

Pros: I love how the charging wire fits snugly into the mouse when its charging so that there's it little to no chance it will fall out.

Cons: In the picture you would think that this product has additional gripping on the hand area but its actually just a picture on the mouse to add nice looks.

Overall Review: I love how the Signal receiver can fit into the mouse so you can store it easy without worrying that you will lose it somewhere due to its small size.

Great Mouse6/29/2014 4:03:47 PM

Pros: I've always been hesitant about wireless mice given that they didn't perform very well when initially introduced. However, the G700s is a very nice mouse. I've noticed no lag, even with the sensor plugged directly into the back of my desktop. The SetPoint software offers nice configuration options. The free-scrolling mouse wheel is also very helpful at times. Since this mouse is wireless, you don't have to drag a cable around while moving the mouse (unless charging it). This really allows the mouse to feel like its floating across the pad.

Cons: The battery life is kinda short, I have to charge it every other day or so with rather heavy use and it also feels a bit light. Adding another battery may solve both of these issues, however neither of these "cons" would change my decision to buy this mouse again. The charging cable is wrapped in the standard plastic coating as other USB cables, a braided wrapping would have been great. This wouldn't be a real issue if I didn't find myself using the charging cable so often.

Overall Review: Maybe add an extra battery in the next model. I personally find the mouse wheel buttons a bit tricky to use without moving the wheel so on occasion I find myself wanting 1-2 more buttons, maybe in the middle of the cluster of 4 near the thumb.

Laser Placement2/6/2014 5:42:35 PM

Pros: Seems like a great mouse. Lots of customizable buttons, it has a nice full hand shape, and it has a hyper scroll that you can click on and off, which is great for web browsing, but when you need a clicking scroll wheel it does that too.

Cons: the placement of the laser is towards the front of the mouse, meaning that if you turn the back end of your mouse to try and make small pointer movements as I do, it will not work on this mouse! I will have to change how i use my mouse and get used to this.

Overall Review: We will see how it holds up. Logitech used to be one of the best for innovation and quality for peripherals, but they seem to be going downhill recently (my last mouse from them cant stay clicked anymore - no drag and drop)

Great mouse, expected more.12/11/2013 11:39:58 AM

Pros: This mouse is quite comfortable and contours to my hand perfectly. Although it is entirely plastic, it feels durable and has a reassuring heft to it. I like that the wireless USB adapter can be stored in the battery compartment when not in use. This is also very helpful while traveling as you won't need to worry about losing it. The sensor is very accurate and I don't notice any random jumping like I've noticed with other mice. The DPI settings are fully adjustable and can be set to your liking. DPI settings and mouse button "profiles" can be changed on the fly using one of the buttons and the LED lights. The ability to use this mouse in either a wired or wireless fashion is excellent. Most of the buttons are well placed and comfortable to use. The left and right click buttons provide excellent feedback and feel fantastic. The mouse wheel is extremely high quality and feels like a precision metal instrument. The mouse wheel also tilts left and right which makes for great start menu scrolling in Windows 8. I find the battery life LEDs on the side to be very helpful. The fact that this mouse uses a rechargeable AA battery rather than a normal AA is excellent, and you can always replace it with a better one or use a regular AA if you wanted to. I use the mouse on power-saving mode with no issues and have been playing for two days now (about 4 hours a day, plus a couple hours at work if I decide to use it in the office), with 2/3 battery life left. Lower battery life could be due to the power settings you've chosen or the surface you're using the mouse on. The included software to configure the mouse is quite good and there are a ton of features.

Cons: The plastic shell feels durable, however, I wish it had more of a rubberized surface, rather than a smooth plastic surface. The side grips are also hard plastic (imagine sandpaper, only made of plastic) rather than a smooth, comfortable rubber surface that I would expect to have. I don't really care for the fancy designs on the shell, but that's personal preference. I found the weight of the mouse to be a bit heavy at first, but after about an hour of use, I got quite used to it and it is beginning to grow on me. The weight isn't an issue for me, but could be an issue for you if you're used to using a lightweight mouse. This is the heaviest mouse I've used to date. The 3 buttons where your index finger would be are a little awkward to click on. Nearly all of the buttons offer little to no tactile feedback, and I'm not sure if I've actually clicked the button all the way down or not. I wish they used higher quality tactile switches like the ones that were used on the left and right click buttons. I purchased this mouse mainly to use the hotkey buttons for World of Warcraft and Photoshop Lightroom, however, only 3 of the buttons actually register as buttons in the WoW Key Bindings memu. The rest of the buttons need to be mapped to a regular keyboard key using the Logitech software, and then the key needs to be binded in WoW. This is a huge con for me and is quite annoying. The buttons work fine in most other Windows programs, however, and the mouse configuration software they include is quite good.

Overall Review: I love this mouse and am mostly happy with my purchase, but the cons I described above make me wish that I hadn't spent $75. This doesn't seem like a $75 mouse to me, but it is a very good quality unit overall. I just wish the buttons would register as additional buttons in WoW, and it would be nice for the buttons to have some better mechanical feedback to them. The ability to switch between wired and wireless is great and the rechargeable battery is fine. The sensor is excellent and the mouse is super accurate and fluid. If you can find this for under $75, buy it!

Solid Wireless Gaming Mouse11/1/2013 7:55:37 AM

Pros: Contours are very comfortable, awesome button layout, weighted perfect, wireless tracking is awesome. REPLACEABLE rechargeable battery. For the dough head who said battery life was short. Picked up a 2500mAh and it lasts forever.

Cons: Haven't noticed many. I have this paired with my G13, and although you can save profiles onboard, the computer you are on needs the software installed to get profiles. The mouse IS operational without software though, you just can't adjust settings. Only 30g

Overall Review: I picked this up on sale for $74, and it is well worth it. Matches nicely with my G13 and I can use 1 software program for both. It is very responsive for wireless and nice not having a cable dragging. Sure, it has some cons/drawbacks, but not many. Have to remember it's not a $150 mouse either.

Initially it was AMAZING- but one of the buttons broke!4/23/2017 12:37:56 PM

Pros: It has a nice weight to it, fits in my hand well and is ergonomic. The battery life is not amazing, but it is very easy to recharge. I just plug it in when I am going to head away from the computer and this way it is always charged and ready to go. The battery life is not so bad that during a computer session it would run all the way out from full. In video games it is incredible. Accuracy is crucial and it does not feel like using a wireless mouse at all. I play twitch games like CS:GO and it is such an improvement over my last wired mouse.

Cons: The only con is that the button used to increase DPI on the fly broke. It is totally sticky does not click-down at all. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. In my head I know that I've set it to 5 levels of DPI, so being able to click up and down I can usually count how many times I've clicked and know what DPI I've set it at. As soon as this button broke and I cannot tell whether it registered or not, I basically lose my place in tracking my current DPI. This is super frustrating. Some of the increments in DPI that I have set are huge so it's obvious when it worked but others are more subtle. Plus, in a video game, you need it to work when clicked!

Overall Review: Would recommend this if it wasn't for the broken button. I love Logitech though and honestly don't think any other company does a better job.
