Logitech G700 Black 13 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse

Pros: This has been a truly outstanding mouse! I purchased one for my wife and one for myself in December 2011 and both are still going strong with no issues. This is a great cordless mouse and the ability to charge through the cord is a plus...if your batteries go out while playing, plug in the cord and keep on going. I charge the batteries overnight every night and the mouse lasts through the day. On the corded side, the cord is a little heavier than some and you should give some thought to the cord routing so you won't feel resistance from it when connected. The size of the mouse is good-- I could personally wish it were just a hair larger...the MX1100 is slightly larger and is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. The G700 is a close runner-up.

Cons: Their latest software isn't as good as the previous SetPoint. If you've not upgraded from SetPoint, I recommend you stick with it.

Overall Review: In some older OpenGL games (Doom3, for instance), if the mouse isn't tracking well, do two things: in SetPoint, go to "Settings," then 'Pointer" and select "Use OS native drivers for pointer speed and acceleration." Then under control panel, go under "Pointer Options" and uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision." This will fix this issue.

Pros: Decent ergonomics Easy to customize the buttons & buttons are easy to use in-game Very responsive

Cons: Battery life is bad. It needs at least one charge every 24 hours if you use it much. It's a bit overpriced - I think it's worth a price tag more around the $60-70 mark, not the $70-90 mark. I also agree that it's a bit light for its size - I'd love if it it were a little bit heavier, and the mouse also isn't quite big enough at the back for me to palm it comfortably. If you let the scroll wheel stay "loose" (you can toggle it), it will shake around a bit; it's distracting and feels cheap/flimsy.

Overall Review: Bought this mouse about 8 months ago and I'm overall really happy with it. It's probably not the best mouse ever, but it's a solid option that's easily worth the consideration of anyone looking for a wireless gaming mouse.

Overall Review: I've always used cheap mice, so I wanted to treat myself to something higher quality. I really wanted to like it, but it strained my wrist and took way too much fussing around to set everything up in SetPoint. After using it for a couple hours, I unplugged it and went back to my cheapy G300. My wrist thanked me and I returned it feeling disappointed.

Pros: Being able to use this mouse wireless or with a wire is the perfect solution. I never have to worry about my battery going dead and my mouse not working because I can just plug in the cable. The mouse is extremely sensitive and accurate. The macro buttons are easy to configure and work wonderfully. The ability to hold several macros in memory without needing any software is nice too if you move from computer to computer with the mouse. The shape very comfortable. I was using a G7 mouse before this, and I wasn't sure if I'd like the shape, but it really is comfortable. Comes with a very high quality Eneloop rechargeable battery, not a cheap Chinese rechargeable.

Cons: It only uses one AA battery so the charge only last about a day with heavy use. It would have been nice if they used two AA batteries to improve battery life.

Pros: Many well-placed buttons, all of which are easy to press. Wireless is great and had no problems, but you can plug it in and use as a wired mouse while charging. Very comfortable in the hand. It's not claw-grip friendly, but is light enough and has the proper positioning of the buttons to be picked up with two fingers easily. Your thumb rests under the thumb buttons, so they are out of the way until you need them, and are easy to press. I mainly use the mouse for FPS games, and this works great. The DPI adjustments, many buttons, and macro features can give you a real edge in any game.

Cons: Expensive, but a comfortable, great mouse is priceless. The top side button (default for increasing DPI) is hard to press. It requires a forward motion to press, so it could be positioned a little better, but maybe I'll get used to it. The scroll wheel does not have an auto-switch feature for switching between click-to-click and free-spin. Previous Logitech mice had this feature and I thought it was great, so don't know why they removed it on this model. You can still change modes, but it requires a button click instead of automatically switching based on how fast you spin the wheel. The charging cable is a little thick, so it is noticeable when using it in wired mode. It takes a standard micro-usb cable, so you can connect your own thinner cable if you want to solve the issue.

Overall Review: Be sure to look through all the options in the software. The gaming default setting uses a lot of power as it never sleeps. In practice, this is not needed for most games...even FPS. So you can save a lot of power by turning down the settings. In maximum power usage, it will last about 12 hours of continuous use before needing recharging. By default it polls at 1000 times per sec. This can place a lot of stress on your CPU. I found reducing it to 500 had no noticeable effects on the mouse performance, but drastically reduced the CPU load.

Pros: Ability to change DPI on the fly PROFILES! I bought this thing to game with but after realizing I could create multiple profiles I'm using it at work now too. My work profile has macro's like Windows + Left or Right (Which moves my application windows between my two monitors) Windows + D = show desktop, Windows + E = show all drives, Windows + R is a must... you can launch CMD, notepad, or any other app ...try it now...hold down the windows key, press R, then type notepad, then press enter The super sensitive scroll wheel is a plus (especially when reading long word documents or PDF's. It is rechargeable! No more wasting money on batteries. It works on glass and other shiny surfaces unlike most other mice.

Cons: Macro editor is a bit buggy... For some reason it randomly doesn't capture the down state of a key. Work around is to just press the key twice and then go back and delete the invalid key up state. Other tip, if your macro misses steps when running try adding a 50ms delay in between the steps it missed.

Overall Review: Dear Logitech, Please add two features to this beautiful mouse. One, add a small fan inside of it and vents such that a nice cooling breeze can caress my hands. Two, add a very small heating element for those cold winter nights or the long gaming sessions where blood flow is cut off from my hands and it feels like my fingers are about to freeze. Pros: I have been using a Logitech G5 for about the past 4 years until just recently my cable failed at the joint with the mouse body. So I did some research - and long story short I decided to purchase the G700 with no regrets. The G700 did an "egg-cellent" job of replacing my old G5. Not only is the performance of the sensor in this mouse equivalent in quality to my old mouse - the G700's ability to be used wireless is a huge benefit in my book. Additionally, for the purist of mouse users out there, at any time you can plug the mouse in with a micro-B USB cable for match grade performance through a cable. The G700 thumb buttons, as other reviewers have mentioned, are well placed and easy to identify and depress with ease - although you may find they take some getting used to if you're not normally using your right hand thumb that much. The additional buttons near the index/middle finger locations are also very easy to identify. Logitech also has excellent driver software.

Cons: Battery life doesn't seem particularly good for a mouse. I can't say from experience how long the battery lasts because I usually just plug it in when it gets low. The mouse has an option to map a button to a battery light indicator on the main 3x LEDs on the side of the mouse - so I just press my battery button occasionally and if it's getting low, I just plug in. The scroll wheel originally had me doubting this mouse - didn't think I would like the hyper fast thing. It's a matter of preference, but it turns out I like it quite a bit actually. Very consistent scrolling in detent mode, works fine for gaming. No adjustable weight system. Fortunately for me, I prefer a heavier mouse. If you want something really lightweight, you should probably look elsewhere. I've read that the OEM cable that comes with the mouse is too stiff to use practically. I completely disagree and find that the stiffness actually helps prevents tangling - but I can see why people say that.

Overall Review: This mouse is designed for gaming, and its strengths are in its number of easy to use extra buttons that are easy to re-map and assign to macros, and its high performance laser sensor that never skips a beat - ensuring smooth mouse movement, always. I can see it also being very useful for other software applications where you want as many controls at quick disposal as possible (such as drafting or digital art). Another note is the size/ergonomics. Obviously tailored to RH users with a high arch palm grip that is really quite comfortable. It has almost the same footprint as the G5 style mouse except for the large thumb rest. The main problem with the shape of this mouse is the lack of a "ring" finger rest. The G5 shape has a hard rest to the right of the RMB. With this mouse, you might find discomfort if you try to keep your ring finger down on the side grip (my hands are small, that may be the reason for this). So I am trying to keep my ring finger on the edge of the RMB.

Pros: -Just enough macro buttons to do what i need, and not too many to make it awkward. -Scroll mode -Stores Profiles and can quick switch -Can be used while charging (and doesnt require wireless) -Works great on battery right until it dies* -Battery compartment has slot for wireless receiver so you don't lose it during transport. -Comes with wireless USB extension so you can place receiver where you want.

Cons: -Battery life (not as good as other wireless mice like the MX pro); If it used 2 rechargeable batteries, it would be better. -Little uncomfortable after long use; I have somewhat large hands, and my pinky starts to cramp up after a while using this mouse. - Doesn't use the same software that my G110 keyboard does, so having 2 different installs is kind of annoying.

Overall Review: I wanted a mouse that wasn't covered in macro keys (razor or G600), but still wanted some keys that i could program. This mouse works pretty well in both wired and wireless mode. The battery life is kinda of low for my tastes. Average use it will go about 36 hours (the MX pro i have at work will go a full week). It will work great right up until it dies, which you just plug it in and it continues where you were. (mid game) I do like how i can run it from the wire and it will use that for data. It does get rather uncomfortable after long play however. I have rather large hands and my pinky side starts to cramp up after 5-6 hours. I prefer the shape of the G5/MX500 to this one as it is more comfortable (due to its length). If they made this mouse with the form of the G5, and added a 2nd rechargeable battery, this would be a perfect mouse. Overall, it isn't too bad.
