One thing to consider is investing in a drive cooling unit. I ran this drive for 2 weeks and it was Hot to the Touch. I purchased the Vantec "HDC-502A" Aluminum Hard Disk Drive Cooler w/ 2 Fans here on Newegg.com for $10.99. After installing the Drive Cooling system I noticed a HUGE decrease in temperature and an increase in performance. I highly recommend purchasing a drive cooling unit.
