Pros: The Sculpt Comfort Mouse worked beautifully with a new Windows 8.1 laptop. Bluetooth paired it just once and never needed to again -- even after turning it off or replacing the batteries, it remains well paired. No dropouts even after extended idle periods. After extended sleep time, just slide it around to wake it up. It's kind of a gimmick, but the mouse has a small vibrating buzzer as a feedback when using the thumb vertical slider. It takes two standard AA batteries. Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries make the whole very light weight. Rechargeable metal-hydride AA batteries made it feel heavier, but still nicely balanced. I know it's saying a lot, but it operates as well as a wired gaming mouse. I'm comparing it to my USB wired Razer Lachesis, and the Scuplt Comfort Mouse is still impresive!
Cons: A little less wonderful setting it up with a Windows 7 laptop. I had to go into the bluetooth adapter in Device Manager and prevent Windows 7 from saving energy by powering it down. Until then, the mouse continually dropped connections. This was never a problem with the Windows 8.1 machine. Once it was properly operational, everything was pretty good with Windows 7, too. Microsoft missed a golden opportunity here. The software application supporting the mouse is office centric, and frankly lame. A "gaming" center of dpi options, reassigning the blue slider, some control of the tactile buzzer and such, would make this an instant cult favorite. Strange for a software company (cough), I mean a "technical company with strength in software" to miss this.
Overall Review: Thank you previous reviewers, you were very helpful! Occasionally Microsoft hardware hits one "out of the park". This is an example. The Lenovo Z50-75 with AMD A10-7300 APU and Windows 8.1 was made for this mouse, and the mouse for the laptop. It's hard to tell how much value the bluetooth 4.0 adapter in the laptop adds to the operational experience of the mouse. But, my nephew the student will love them together! Pros: Replacing a MS Touch Mouse with this. This is much more Win8 friendly and makes it much easier to navigate around between the start/desktop. Bluetooth 4.0 makes battery life very good also compared to the Touch. Still use the touch for Win7 because I like the snap left/right function with multi screens that was lost in Win8. Have a 2nd 1 that I use on a Win7 machine also. Very nice swipe function for switching between windows and forward/back for webpages.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Very nice mouse. Got a 2nd 1 after using it for a couple days for another machine. Doesn't come with Bluetooth dongle so if your PC doesn't already have Bluetooth, you will need to pick one up also. I use the Azio USB BT4.0 that is always on sale ~$13.
Pros: Comfortable, quiet, Bluetooth, AA batteries (included)
Cons: The only one I can think of is the touch pad is a little awkward at first to reach with your thumb.
Overall Review: I previously had a Microsoft Touch mouse which I really liked but it died on me so I decided to replace it with this new Sculpt Comfort Mouse. It is the most responsive mouse I have ever had (including wired units) the range is great because it is Bluetooth not RF and it is very quiet and feels like it was made very well. I will miss having all the different touch gestures from my Touch Mouse but this is close enough. I'll update on battery life once I know.
Pros: It looks like a nice piece added to your system. The button on the left side to access the windows tiles can be an added plus. That is assuming you use it enough. I don't really see much to add to the pros. Microsoft made a bid on this in hopes it would attract those wanting a cordless mouse. I think it missed the mark.
Cons: Slightly bigger than most cordless mice. Heavier. The windows tile button on the left leaves those left handed with a gymnastic move to use it. There is difficulty in pairing the mouse to windows 10. Those who do not have a built in Bluetooth module will find it almost difficult even though it states it has its own built in transmitter. Those that do may experience intermittent drops. Unlike many other mice, if you do not use it often it will shut itself off sometimes not giving the user enough time while reading or writing.
Overall Review: This has been one of the most difficult products I had to rate. I tried to be honest and find the most advantageous points. I could not find many. Giving two eggs was a generous attempt by me to accept this product based on my experience with Microsoft products and this time of year which is Christmas season. It would be hard pressed for me to recommend this product to anyone.
Pros: Pairs very quickly Buttons are very useful Can change what a button does if you download the app from MS Works well with Windows 8.1 Works on any surface
Cons: Feels weird in the hand
Pros: Works on most surfaces Range is decent
Cons: Loses connectivity often with windows 8.1 Atheros based BT wireless adapter, battery life could be better. Blue swipe button is not programmable for games. Scroll depress is very hard unable to feel if it's "clicked" Blue swipe button pauses movement in game play might be able to turn it off but I never took the time to search.
Overall Review: I would be OK with this mouse for a medium light duty office applications, I do play BF4 of this mouse and its amazingly lag free most of the time excluding the right and left click mouse clicks are somewhat laggy or simply just do not register in the game. Ive disabled bluetooth power control options etc. theres no hope for this mouse . I have a Motorola headset that stays connected to BT adapter 6+ hours straight , this mouse dies all the time.
Pros: • Easy to use • Comfortable • Click and scroll are very nice • Works on every surface (even glass) • Bluetooth • Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center (custom macros)
Cons: • Power saver turns the mouse off after about 90 seconds • Takes between 3-10 seconds to turn on / reconnect after shaking it awake • Opened a ticket with Microsoft and found that this is in the devices firmware and cannot be changed • I would rather replace the batteries every two weeks than have to wait every time I want to use the device • If they add an option to always stay connected in the Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center, I will buy another one • I have verified that the device is at fault here because the Logitech M557 Bluetooth mouse I just picked up has no problems and is ready to use whenever I grab it. • Swipe up and swipe down are hard to get down and usually require multiple attempts to get it to work • Swipe up is nearly impossible to do without lifting the mouse off the surface to get my thumb in the right place • The side button cannot be customized and is therefore useless to me as a static Start button • It's difficult to get a center click on the scroll-wheel (scroll left and right are much lighter than middle click so if you have a heavy finger, you'll get a scroll left or right 9/10 times when a middle click is desired)
Overall Review: • On my Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500, the thumb button is in the PERFECT spot, the Sculpt thumb button/slider is quite a stretch as it's only slightly set back from where the left/right click buttons are • I like the mouse, and every minor gripe I would usually just take it for what it is and get used to it, but the Power Saver / Reconnect time was just too irritating to deal with. • I returned the Sculpt until they fix the power saver and am currently having a MUCH more enjoyable experience with the Logitech M557.

Pros: Reasonably comfortable, windows button. No USB adapter necessary!
Cons: Could be a bit larger. Glossy surface really shows finger prints and smudges. Would like to disable haptic feedback for the app-switching gesture, or perhaps even disable this gesture all together. Overall more settings to choose from would be nice. Windows default driver settings for bluetooth adapters cripple the experience with this, and presumably all bluetooth devices that don't use a USB adapter.
Overall Review: Had problems with this mouse, and my bluetooth Mighty Mouse dropping connection on my Windows 8.1 laptop, in both cases sometimes they would reconnect on their own, sometimes they needed to be disconnected and re-paired. The fix for a stable connection to this mouse, and presumably all bluetooth devices is going into Windows device manager, finding your PC's bluetooth adapter, and in the driver settings power management tab, uncheck the setting that says "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
