Pros: Younger than WinXP (my preference), not as "Big Brother" like as Win 10
Cons: Contrary to what I've seen on every site, Windows 7 is NOT SUPPORTED by Microsoft on current generation CPU's. You can get SOME updates but then you get a constant nag screen telling you that your hardware is not supported and you must upgrade to Windows 10. WRONG! I'll use this since I shelled out the $$ for those few programs that REQUIRE Windoze, but other than that I'm doing a REAL upgrade and running Linux on my new systems.
Overall Review:
I would NOT recommend this if you are building a system with current processors or chipsets. My system is:

Pros:
Very easy to understand directions. Don't see what all the fuss is about this new "scratch-off" method, although why did Microsoft wait until now to scratch off the Product Key, it simply amazes me but all that really happens is that a coin will suffice in taking off the junk used to cover it. It might go slowly, again go slowly, and don't dig it off......if you feel tired. stop and rest up. But why does Microsoft even use that stuff. They call it anti-piracy. And it took them until NOW to find a better way?
But still, everything was OK, just take it easy.

Tried everything; remove PCI E graphic card (uninstall its software) reboot system trying to reinstall intel graphic still without success kept saying software does not compatible with this OS (windows 7) pc parts ; intel core; mobo memory sticks all are good match
Someone on pc forum told uninstall and reinstall the OS but I guess I just have to relies on the PCI E Graphic (trying to put one monitor on Mobo)

Cons: I wish I had known about the Product Key sticker problem when I bought it from Microsoft last year. Completely useless $100.00+ piece of plastic
Overall Review: Yes, I would. Just be very careful with the Product Key removal of the covering over it or you will be stuck with a useless piece of plastic. :(
Pros: It's Windows 7 - no ads, no spyware (if you don't load certain KB updates), and no app and store cr@p. I use Windows 7 to regularly update my friends and family computers from Windows 10. It's a great update even for those CPUs that "supposedly" won't work with anything but Windows 10. Windows 7 runs just fine on the newer CPUs, it's just that Microsoft won't supply security updates for them (which you can get and install manually). Microsoft must really be hurting if they are strong-arming CPU manufactures into advertising that their newest CPUs will only work with Windows 10. Heck, it's even hard to find a decent refurbished system that has not been infected with Windows 10. Luckily most refurbs came with Windows 7 or 8 and you can usually find Windows 7 drivers on manufacturer's websites.
Cons: There are none ... period.
Overall Review: I'll be using Windows 7 well past the EOL. When Windows 7 won't do any longer I'll switch all my computers over to Linux Mint. I have a few running Mint now. The only thing I can't do in Linux that I can do in Windows is play many of the latest games. Many of my co-workers have seen my Mint system at work and have had me set up dual-boot so they can check it out as well. I'm not a Linux fanatic by any means but it seems to be one of only two options available in the foreseeable future ... OSX or Linux.

Pros: Easy to run, and navigate, its Not like Windows 10 or 8/ 8.1 its much nicer.. Not sure why people complain about it. Maybe they just don't know how to use it.. XP wasn't bad, Vista was horrible and this is great. I sadly cant find my back up disk and never ordered a hard copy of my Pro's and at the moment my computer is having other issues so i am likely going to buying it again and getting a hard copy to have my system fully restored.
Cons: The fact that this program is still $200.. years later.. is the only con.
Overall Review: Would i purchase this again, YES and i am likely going to have to if i cant find my restore disk. Due to some other issues that have managed to corrupt parts of my computer, it has to be cleaned and reset. and everything else can be moved. Of course except operating system. But is it worth the money!! YES better than having to go to windows 10!! i really don't want to deal with windows 10 other than at work.
I have 2 hard drives in my home PC one that is JUST for windows. My PC was built for gaming.
