MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Worked flawlessly out of the box. Have yet to get a DOA on an MSI motherboard, this my 7th MSI board out of the 30 some odd builds I've done. Wi-Fi works well as does Bluetooth. Used the drivers on the disc with no problems.

Cons: Only 2 fan headers and one of them is for the CPU.

Overall Review: Used the following components for this build and it worked out awesome: AMD A6-6400K 3.9GHz FM2 Corsair XMS 4GB(2x2GB) CMX4GX3M2A1333C8 ADATA XPG SX900 64GB SATA III SSD SilverStone Sugo SG05B-USB3.0 with SFX 300W Zalman CNPS80F 80mm CPU Cooler

Pros: Wifi Bluetooth USB 3.0 SATA III 6 Gb/s Overclocks ram well (2133 MHz @ 1.65v 9-11-10-28-2T) Came with an extender for the wifi antenna OC Fail settings - Tell it when to revert to stock after OC Failure

Cons: Bios has a serious heat bug/problem, causes the system to run at full load in the bios (Verified with a kill a watt meter, the bios pulls 145 watts from the wall, same as the OS under a stress test). Temperatures in the bios reached 60 Celsius in the bios and only went down slightly after getting an aftermarket cooler (Both coolers with the CPU fan at 100%). Contacted MSI about this and they said the next update would fix it, it didn't. Claims to have a bunch of overclocking options but in reality without voltage control it doesn’t, as seen by a simple 100 MHz OC failing (Only the memory and the GPU will actually overclock) The GPU also does not have voltage control. Every so often the system wouldn't post or show anything on the screen when turned on, only fixed by holding the power button and turning it back on again. Pulling the plug and plugging it back in only repeated the problem. The CMOS battery configuration is terrible, it's harder to replace and quite difficult to remove and plug back it. They should've used a vertical CMOS battery holder like other mITX boards use. The wifi antenna connection is very cheap and falls off very easily. The live update software is quite bad.

Overall Review: This was my first MSI board and after all of this, it's my last.

Pros: I have had this board for over a month now. So far I love it. I paired this up with a a10-5800k APU and some crucial1866 ram. Built in bluetooth and wifi work great. I am able to use my ps3 controllers with games through the bluetooth and I get solid data transfer rates through wifi. Wifi works without the little antenna accessory with minimal impact on range. The bluetooth range seemed limited, but that could have been my old beat up ps3 controller too. Nice overclocking options, and nice OC fail recovery settings. A failed OC will revert back to last known good settings after a set number of failed boot ups. Audio through HDMI and the component output work great with my tv and stereo. MSI liveupdate works well to update drivers, but it does also include some bloatware. It does not work for BIOS update at this time, but I didn't need a BIOS update for my setup. It does update all the essential mobo drivers like audio and wifi, so that is nice. I just manually install the updates I want and ignore the bloatware I don't need.

Cons: It gets hot when booted into the Bios; there is a problem with the heat management. Its as if the PWM for the fans doesn't kick in until the OS boots. The clickbios program is great though, and allows updates to any BIOS settings when running windows. I dont trust the Supercharger program and uninstalled it. It kept trying to supercharge my external HD and mouse, but it did work as advertised for charging my phone.

Overall Review: I put this into the Lian Li qc09f case and it makes a great little package. A gaming capable HTPC with built in goodies is the way of the future and this board is leading the charge for AMD's fm2 APU's. I did not buy this board from newegg. It has been hard to get and after monitoring several different sites for a few weeks I was able to get one. This board was routinely selling out within hours of being available and I am very happy I waited rather than going with something else.

Pros: HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0, Bluetooth, WiFi & Mini-ITX - What else can you ask for?

Cons: As Mentioned Live Update sucks, but Live Customer Service immediately to tell you that the email you just received has the most recent bios update, copy to flash drive and use the easy click M-Flash Bios Update tool made up for it 10 fold. Also the WiFi Adapter doesn't allow the MB to fit in my 3.3L Ultra-SFF PC Case, but if you're handy the adapter can be disassembled, taken off, MB installed, and put back together.

Overall Review: If you're blessed enough to get your hands on one of these MB (backlogged on orders so bad its not funny) and your using an A8 or A10 Trinity processor you truly will have your hands on gold. I'm using this for a Commercial Video Slot Gaming Platform, and it does so well I'm now building new HTPCs and am going to replace every one of my desktop PCs will this compact super computer. For those I'm using the In-Win BQ656 PC Case and a 26" LED TV. 9"x9"x3" powerhouse mounted on the back of a TV all for around $600.00. What else could be smaller and cooler for chump change?

Pros: Does all it functions -Bios settings easy to use -Wifi is nice to have -Has Hdmi -theres Bluetooth -Does work with Richland APU series (more info later)

Cons: -Have to update Bios in order to support new Richland APU (Personal mistake thinking it would work out of the box kind of thing without researching about it) -Have to manually download wifi driver from the site (not a big deal but just expected it would be on the Drivers and Utilities Disc) -Only one System Fan connector

Overall Review: Like to start off this isnt a bad MB and the cons arent as bad as you think but just to warn and help those who are getting this with a Richland APU series for a new computer build. Brought this with new the richland apu thinking it would work right away but it didnt, and I was lucky to have a friend who has a Trinity APU so i could update my Bios for the Richland APU to work so i wouldnt have to return my Richland APU to get a Trinity APU. As simple minded I am. Reading this MB supports Richland APU I Figured i can just buy this and Richland APU without updating the Bios for it to work for those who want to try the new Richland APU series SHORT NOTE: Best work with Trinity APU if your getting this MB as a new Build with the APU series wouldn't have to go through the hassle like i did Only recommend the Richland APU series if you own this MB already and ready for an upgrade or happen to have a friend that has a Trinity APU like i did

Pros: - I don't use WiFi or Bluetooth, but it's nice to have it if needed. WiFi speed tested fine. - HDMI out - Support for 1866 RAM although I had to manually set the timings to get it to recognize it at full speed. Using G.SKILL Sniper Series (F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR) - ClickBIOS is cool - Initially was way too loud because the fans were running at 100% all the time. Once I adjusted the Smart Fan Control in the BIOS settings, the computer is barely audible while idle. - USB 3.0

Cons: - No DVI out - The RAM slots are very close to the CPU slot although I was still able to fit a Coolermaster 212 heatsink, there's only about 2cm of clearance from the RAM to the heatsink. I wish the RAM slots and SATA ports/headers had each others positions on the board. - The WiFi antenna seems a bit flimsy, but the magnet mounts they put on them were a nice touch.

Overall Review: The first one I received was DOA and wouldn't POST. MSI sent me a refurbished replacement which made me nervous at first, but I've had no issues with it thus far including none of the HDMI issues, power management issues, and issues with restarting mentioned in some of these reviews. I'm running firmware rev 1.3

Pros: Feature packed for such a small board. Bluetooth and Wifi are built in, which is hard to find if you're in the market for an FM2 board in the Mini-ITX form factor. BIOS setup menu is user friendly.

Cons: Looks like to get built-in wifi, MSI soldered a USB wifi adapter directly to the board. This was probably done for compactness, but it leads to occasional reliability problems in use.

Overall Review: RAM slots are placed really close to the APU socket, so measure carefully if you're going to use an aftermarket heatsink. I had to trim the heat spreaders on my RAM to get a Zalman 8900 to fit.

Pros: Works, good amount of bios options that allow you to enable/disable individual hardware, including wireless LAN and bluetooth. I haven't run across these options until this board, but this is also my first UEFI BIOS.

Cons: I initially ran into freezing issues when trying to save in BIOS. I got around this by hitting F10 instead of trying to click on the "save and exit" option. It would be nice if MSI allowed sysfan speeds to change based on motherboard temperatures, instead of only allowing for a fixed speed. This is worth taking off an egg in my opinion.

Overall Review: Many people have mentioned that the CPU runs at full load in BIOS. This is true of every AMD board I have owned, and I don't think it is a "BIOS bug", but just the way AMD hardware behaves. I have seen this on AM3 processors with 790FX and 880G northbridges as well.
