Between MSI GE72 Apache and MSI GS60 Ghost Pro, which is better? Is the price worth for what's inside? At first look, GE72 beats GS60 at CPU (5th gen i7 compared to 4th gen i7), while GS60 beats GE72 at video memory (6 GB compared to 2 GB).

The GS60 beats the GE72 when it comes to the graphics card. However when it comes to the CPU you're looking at a dual core CPU on the GS60 vs a quad core CPU on the GE72.

in the description it lists the cpu as an i5 instead of the i7, is it i5 or i7?

Newegg goofed on the posting. That processor is in fact an i7, which is what is in this pc. There is no i5 version with that processor name.

one question, is this model GE72 Apache-078 the latest on the GE series, or GE62-apache is newer than the GE72? thanks

The ge62 and the ge72 were released at the same time. The difference is the ge72 has a 17.3 in screen compared to a 15.6 screen on the ge62. The ge72 also has 16gb of RAM compared to the ge62's 8gb. Also the ge72 has a 5th generation I7 processor. The ge62 has a 4th generation I7 processor. They both have the same gpu, a gtx 965. I hoped this help. The ge72 is a beast of a laptop.

It is not removable, but the case doesn't look difficult to open up to swap it out if needed.
