The MSI GeForce GTX 1080 TI ARMOR 11G OC is overclocked to 1645/1531 MHz Boost/Base frequency (1582/1480 for the reference card) to extract more power. This card is efficiently cooled by two large fans, which stop spinning during low load or idle status. And the Military Class components guarantee stability, reliability and durability you can count on even when you are pushing the card to the limit.

Intake more airflow to maximizes air dissipation to heat sink.
ZERO FROZR - Stay Undetected
First introduced in 2008 by MSI, ZeroFrozr technology has made its mark and is now the industry standard among graphics cards. It eliminates fan noise by stopping the fans in low-load situations. This means you can focus on gaming without the noise of spinning fans.

During intense gaming or benchmarking

Completely silent during idle, multimedia or light gaming
Heatsink & Airflow Control
Under the classy shroud and powerful dual fans is a huge heatsink with countless aluminum fins that help dissipate the heat from the GPU. The copper heatpipes are infused in the baseplate to ensure efficient cooling. The aluminum fins are rigged with Airflow Control technology to maximize airflow towards the heatpipes.

Pros: Boost clock is higher than whats on the box , in mass effect andromeda it boost to 1898 on its own with no overclock . Super Quiet , if you want a card that is quiet this one is for you , on less demanding games the card doesn't even kick in the fans unless your over 60 c According to MSI website the thermal rating for this card is 91C that kinda crazy , but don't worry it doesn't come close to getting that hot . So like i said on its own it boost to 1898 and the temps were at 74C, since the fans are so quiet i added a higher fan curve to it and 50 plus on the boost clock . Temps stayed the same fan at 88 percent still couldn't hear a thing boost clock was at 1988. I don't mess around with voltages or anything crazy like that just a simple easy boost , keep in mind that you can get higher clock speeds on any card as long as you can keep temps from thermal throttling your good , but not all games gain huge amounts for FPS from it .
Cons: So i love the card these are more for peeps that are looking for such things 1. No rgb lighting , that is basically a buyers choice , so if you want rgb wait for the next wave of custom ti to come out 2. Black and White color , again buyer preference. 3. No back Plate , doesn't bother me could bother you
Overall Review: I am really happy with my purchase , first ever MSI card i have ever bought . I've alway stuck with EVGA or Zotac for cards. But i have owned plenty of msi motherboards and they have never disappointed me. MSI offers a 3 year warranty when you register your card online make sure you do that , always register all your products kids . Hope my review helps you guys decide , oh and don't bother thinking about running SLI with these you wont need too. On a Acer34x UltraWide 100 hz Monitor on Mass Effect on Ultra Settings i get 74-120 FPS average . Crysis 3 90-120 FPS on Ultra Settings .
