I can't get the battery to pass 58% for some reason. Anyone else experience/have a fix for this?

First, make sure you've downloaded all the latest Windows 10 updates.  If you're running Windows 10 version 1903, then you're one of the unlucky ones to have this issue.  Updating Windows 10 to the latest should eliminate one point of failure.

Next, you can try MSI's own battery calibration tool.  You may or may not have this MSI software installed by default.  If you don't, then you need to go to MSI's website and download/install, and then run it.  (*NOTE:  It may take an hour or more to run this tool, so please be patient.)

AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD/INSTALL THIS TOOL:
1. Search for 'battery' in your Windows 10 search
2. Select and run 'MSI battery calibration'
3. Let it do its thing (the tool will try to discharge the battery and then recharge again)

Is it made of metal or plastic?

This is made of both metal and plastic.  The top of the laptop (when it is closed) is made of metal.  The rest of the laptop (inside and the bottom) is made of plastic.

Does this come with the per key RGB colors or is it all backlit in red?

The GL65 9SC versions all have ONLY red and you can't change the color.  The per key color ones are the GL65 SDK but check the chart to be sure at MSI I can't paste a url sorry.

Question 4

While playing Battlefield 4 on this laptop, I noticed that the CPU is running at 90% of its GHz capacity & sometimes task manager shows over 100%. Does this mean, this laptop is not compatible for such games?

If its running, then it's compatible. I think what you should be asking is if its suitable. That will depend on the framerate that you, the user, prefers.

A computer should be trying to use as many of its resources as possible which includes pushing the graphics card to its limits. If you're getting the framerate that you want (I would suggest anything over 60fps for battlefield)  then your good to go. If your computer is not producing such framerates, but still maxing out its resources, then I would say that the computer is compatible, but not suitable or playable.

Will this laptop support VR With the Oculus S?

I haven't found a way to get my Rift CV1 to work with it. When I plug the Rift in to the HDMI port on the laptop, the Oculus software can't find it. I also tried an HDMI to mini-DisplayPort adapter and still no luck.
