I have this question too as my motherboard is quite old. The bus should be backward compatible, but I wondered about power delivery because there's an OCV1 version of this card with 6-pin connector. Why two versions? Do older (or some) boards not provide enough power thru the PCIe connector?

Should not be a need to enter bios for a video card.  Simply install it, and download the correct drivers from the website.
