Does anyone happen to know if this motherboard is SLI compatible?

Accepted Answer

No this board doesn't support SLI.  This is the H chipset, which has less PCI lanes than an Z chipset.  If you need SLI look at the Z chipset boards (z270 or z370).

Question 2

Hi, I'd like to know if this MoBo is compatible with Patrio VIPER 4 series memories (specifically, this model PV416G300C6K)?

The Motherboard specs at MSI says that the motherboard supports "Supports DDR4-2400 Memory (Max.)".

The memory compatibility specs at MSI says, "DDR4 2133 MHz and higher memory modules will only run at maximum of DDR4 2133 MHz due to IntelR chipset limitation when using Skylake CPU.  DDR4 2400 MHz and higher memory modules will only run at maximum of DDR4 2400 MHz due to IntelR chipset limitation when using Kabylake CPU.

The compatibility list for Kaby Lake includes "PV48G300C6K" but not "PV416G300C6K", however the only difference between these two model numbers is the kits total capacity.  Below I have added spaces to make it easier to compare the two kits model numbers.

PV4 8G 300 C6K = (8 GB)
PV4 16G 300C6K  = (16 GB)

A compatibility list only indicates that memory has been tested, it doesn't necessarily mean that memory not specifically tested will not be compatible.  Still the chances are good that your 16GB kit will work fine given that it's 8GB cousin was tested.  Still it should be noted that you will NOT be able to achieve the full 3000 MHz speed, you can only overclock it up to 2133 MHz for 6th gen Skylake CPU, or 2400MHz for 7th gen KabyLake CPU.  But yes I think it will work fine.

Does it come with the M.2 cover? or we need to get it separately?
