Question 1

Is the VGA MSI|RTX 3050 LP 6G OC R considered a low-power card?

Accepted Answer

Depends on how you define low power. It is powered completely off the PCIe slot and does not require supplemental power. In my testing, it doesn't consume more than about 70 watts.

Question 2

Is this card compatible with a PCI Express 3.0 motherboard?

Accepted Answer

The graphics card uses PCI Express 4.0 x8, which is backward compatible with PCI Express 3.0. Therefore, it should work with a PCI Express 3.0 motherboard, although it may not perform at its full potential.

Question 3

Is the VGA MSI|RTX 3050 LP 6G OC R a low-profile card?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is a half height (low profile) GPU. It will include both a full height and half height bracket with the card if you buy it new.

Question 4

How does this card perform on benchmark tests?

Accepted Answer

I suggest watching reviews on YouTube. There are a lot of variables and how it's going to perform is going to depend on a lot things... like your CPU and memory, what game it is, what settings you're running... etc.

Question 5

Does the VGA MSI|RTX 3050 LP 6G OC R graphics card offer good performance for non-gaming tasks?

Accepted Answer

Depends on the task. It will do very well for video encoding, but won't be the best for tasks like video rendering or video editing. Just depends. For just general use outside of gaming, it's not really a factor.
