INNOVATION AT IT'S CORE.
What if? Two simple words. But when combined, the possibilities are endless. At Mushkin, we've stopped simply asking what if the impossible was possible and started manufacturing it. This though is at the core of every Mushkin Innovation. And it's led our engineers to develop everything from industry leading performance gaming memory to some of the most impressive storage technologies on the market. Try our innovations yourself and explore what's possible with Mushkin products.
MULTI-TASKING AT ITS BEST.
Mushkin's U.S.A. designed Atlas Deluxe transforms your ultra-portable or desktop workstation to run all your essential programs at the same time without sacrificing performance do to the slow speed of a standard hard drive.
ENGINEERED IN THE USA
Not many manufacturers can say they design, assemble and test their products in the U.S.A. But Mushkin has been engineering its products in the U.S.A. since its inception in 1994. That means, for more than 20 years, we have been uniting all aspects of performance to engineer something you can't get from a spec sheet.
Pros: worked well, until it died
Cons: died without any warning, second mushkin product to die on me
Overall Review:
this is the second muskin product to die on me. first was the 1 t and I warrantied it since it was just over a year. now my 250 went on me.
I can understand if they had a bad run of chips etc it happens to every company. Even if I warranty it I have lost any faith/trust in their name. I will spend the extra for a well know brand.
So If they got better products now, that's great for them and wish the company the best, but being burned twice doesn't sit well with me.
Pros: Was cheap compared to other products which was the reason I bought it. I can't complain as it has been in my laptop ever since without a single issue. Fast and reliable
Cons: none
Pros: Very fast
Cons: Been failing the past week, freezing up. I've just bought a Sony 500GB SSD to clone this guy over to. (owned this less than a year)
Pros: It worked good for 20 months. Quite a bit faster than a rotating device, but, that can be said about any SSD vs HDD.
Cons: At the 20 Th month it had an unrecoverable failure. This is for a device with a 1.5 to 2.0 million hour MTBF. There are only 8760 hours in a year, there for this should have lasted a 195 years.
Overall Review:
As it was less than 3 years old the manufacture would replace it, provided I sent it to them, they verified it failed, and I provided "proof" of purchase. This does not do a consulting business any good, the replacement I'll keep as a spare.
As a caution I installed in my LAN a Netgear Ready NAS 104, configured as a RAID 5 array, so no lost data, but still had to load O.S. and all apps. This took about a 2-3 days after a replacement SSD showed up. I have used HDD for over 20 years with out a failure, so I am not sure I am "sold" on SSDs. I went to extremes measures to prevent this by installing it on a WD heat sink/mount in the fan air stream, so heating was NOT an issue.
Pros: Have owned since November of 2015, and Crystal disk mark 5 benchmarks at 544.5 read, and 482.0 write. This works!
Cons: None so-far
Overall Review: I had, and will continue, to recommend Mushkin SSD drives.
Pros: Was fast while it worked.
Cons: Dead after 10 months of use. Light use I might add.
Overall Review: I've used this drive and an ADATA before both lasted for around a year before they died. The speed isn't worth it if I'm having to constantly deal with rebuilding my computer once a year.
Pros: - Worked great when it worked
Cons: - Died after 4 months of use
Overall Review: - The hassle of replacing it isn't worth the price.

Pros: Bought this in August of 2015. So happy at first that I bought two 240gb for working with videos.
Cons: This one died just a week out of warranty. Used one of the extras I bought, and reinstalled windows. That failed after another week. Luckily, I didn't sell the other PC I put the second 240gb ssd in, plugged it in right in and ran windows 7 on my main rig until my Samsung got here.
2/10. Would not buy again. I'll order another Samsung to sit on until the last mushkin fails me in another month or so.
First failure happened after a few crashes over the course of a few weeks, while cooking dinner with streaming video queued up. Second drive failed while downloading SCUM.
Overall Review: Were the cheap options when I bought them. Now the price point isn't even worth it.
