Pros: - Fast when it works. - Decent web interface - Easy to change from router to access point - Helps heat the room on a cold day
Cons: - Have to connect via WIFI in order to use the web interface. Using the IP address does not work from a wired computer. - Will not maintain a solid connection. - Randomly does not show the SSIDs - Very few settings can be adjusted
Overall Review: Really disappointed in this thing. I bought it to be a higher bandwidth replacement for a TP Link AX1500. That router was rock steady and worked perfectly. Plugged this one into the same exact location with the same cables and had nothing but issues. This device should have been a simple device upgrade for TP-Link but apparently there is no such thing.
Pros: For the few minutes at a time when it's working, performance is reasonable.
Cons: Inconsistent performance, cuts in and out randomly, kicking me off of VPN while teleworking. The associated app is garbage and completely bogs down the router.
Overall Review: Worst router I've ever owned. I'm never buying a TP Link router again. I don't recommend purchasing this router if you care about your sanity.
Overall Review: Fast
Pros: Upgraded from a TPLink AC-1200 wifi router. Installation was easy. Ran speedtest, had to run it a second time because I didn't believe the results... Download speed jumped from 80Mbps to over 235Mbps!
Cons: takes some time for it to initialize, before you can enter setup program, so be patient. It looks like it isn't working, but it gets there after a minute or so.
Overall Review: I'm a happy camper... I didn't know my internet was this fast, especially on the wifi link!
Pros: easy setup from your phone, stronger signal get more coverage, more then two times faster download speed from 802.11 ac, nice looking
Cons: the indicator light not flashing to show you the line is working, no power on/off button
Overall Review: I recommend this router for begin a WIFI 6 experience and online streaming tv shows (see online download speed recommendation by your streaming service provider ) and online gaming ( see your internet service provider)
Pros: => Better speed and range compared to my google Nest Wifi => 4 ports + USB storage =>Clean management UI => Clean styling, not garish
Cons: => Runs hot => Hates heat.
Overall Review: Such a disappointment. I've been tracking this since they showcased it on one of the trade shows, I forget which one. Who does the QA on these anymore? A few facts/ observations: =>A two person household strained the radios enough to reach thermal shutdown. It runs warm with only 8 IoT devices => Both of us are about 30ft away from the router; 1 wall between the device and users. => Initial symptoms were random Steam session disconnects or video buffering if both of us were online at the same time. Verified that SSID was not being broadcast during these outages. The device was hot to the touch. => Ambient temperature at the device location is never higher than 80⁰ F. It was wall mounted. => I've attempted to reset the device and relocate it, but I'm not getting an SSID out of it yet. I hope the Customer Service is not a nightmare. I feel bad for recommending this to a couple of friends. Hopefully they have better luck!
Pros: Excellent coverage for both networks (2.4 and 5) is a great upgrade from wifi4 router
Cons: 5GHz network which is practically everyones reason to upgrade due to the currently saturation of 2.4GHz, suffer from authentication process in multiple devices from mac mini, windows 10 laptops, to multiple android devices. Once You lose 5GHz connectivity, then have to go to restart router or join 2.4GHz, etc and pray that is someway fixed. Technical service is unreachable so better stay away. And last but not least is that those brilliant minds behind the user experience, force you to download an app to use any of the additional QoS features instead of including in the default website (192.168.1.1) which is not happening with any other tier A brand.
Overall Review: With lack of stability I consider myself not happy with this 150usd brick.
Cons: Router kept dropping IP address for my printer. Also hard to see all addresses assigned by DHCP, window only had enough room for about 5 addresses. Fell back to old router and everything works again.
Overall Review: I'm going to keep router and use it as an AP but I don't recommend it for use as a router.
