Each ES3 comes with both an internal and removable external lithium-ion battery.

Cons: As with many of the reviews the shipping and missing Allen screws are an issue it needs to be packed better and yes you will only get the scooter and charger and nothing else. You will need to download the manual and Bluetooth app from the web and the warranty is only 3 months from the refurbisher and not Segway
Overall Review: Since this is a refurbished unit, I test it every day to on my commute to charge my car, and it's been going strong for the past month. The unit I received was in great condition even though the app indicated it had 15 miles of use. If you want to take the chance you may get a great deal, but if your hesitant please consider spending more and buying a new one, so you can have peace of mind. The design of the unit is solidly built and I do enjoy that it can climb hills and has lots of power in red S sports mode. Check the downloaded manual how to get to the various speed modes.
