How many expansion/video card slot(s) does this case have and of what type? (I need to be able to hook up two matched monitors and three total.) Also, does it have USB 3.0 support?

The one I bought had a DVI on the mobo, and your slots are going to be 1/2 size.  I don't have that machine myself, otherwise I'd open it up and look at it for you (I purchased it for a client).  However, I just purchased another Optiplex  780, and it comes with 3 video outputs on it right off the bat, BUT they are all different.  One DVI add-in card, One Display Port, and One VGA port (these last two are built in on the mobo. You have to understand that there are issues with using a Display port converter to DVI.  SO make certain you have a monitor that can take an unchanged cable to each of the monitors to ensure you actually GET three monitor support.   The converter cables can run into issues.

Problem is, Dell makes so many configurations, and if you are buying refurbished/off-lease machines, you don't know what you will get unless you look at the stats on the specific machine you are ordering.
