Would this work on a DS lite, or does it have to be a DSi or 3DS?

It literally says in the title what systems it works on.  3DS, DSi XL/LL, DSL, DS.  The "DSL" means Nintendo DS Lite, which is what I bought mine for.

Will this work on a standard DSI?

All I can tell you is that I use mine in a 3DS XL without any problems. I haven't tried it in a DSI but I can't see any reason why it won't work. I did download what was on my old SDHC to my computer and loaded it on the new SDHC before I tried to use it. I doubled the storage in my 3DS XL.

Question 3

People said that when they put their SD card in the reader it gets jammed and is hard to take out, is this true? If so should I purchase another SD card reader?

It is like most things. If you are careful you won't have a problem. I do feel that it could of been designed a little better.

Question 4

I downloaded ds roms and everything, but when I put it in my ds lite it just goes to a red outline of a sd card with "menu" and a  question mark inside it. What do I have to do now?

Hi Caveman. You need to have system files in the root directory to make it work. You need three folders copied: Moonmemo, moonshl2, and R4imenu. You should have gotten instructions with the flash cart that tells you where to download these files. Good luck!

Yes, I have a DSi XL version 1.4.3U and it works fine on that unit.

No It does not come with the SD CARD itself, you will need to get that one apart, but it does come with the SD card READER which is pretty useful

Is this the model with the timebomb?

I never knew a timebomb existed or that there were two different brands. It was more of an impulse buy tbh.

I did a quick search for "r4i sdhc time bomb" and a reddit thread says that products from the website "r4isdhc" have the timebomb while products from "r4i-sdhc" do not.

The link for the kernal suggests it is the one with the timebomb.

Question 8

So this can work on the 3DS but NOT be able to play 3DS games? Even if they are played without the 3D function?

Only DS games, there are also black bars on the sides because of the DS's aspect ratio.
