This NEC projector is equipped with digital light processing technology, which is more immune to color decay and preserves the color of images over extended periods of use. This DLP projector has a native XGA resolution of 1024x768 pixels and a maximum UXGA resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. Furthermore, the NEC projector has a native aspect ratio of 4:3, but it also supports an aspect ratio of 16:9. A high contrast ratio of 1,600:1 allows the NEC NP64 to project images with crisp, sharp results. The lamp in this DLP projector has a brightness level of 3,000 ANSI, which can deliver images that are easily viewable in normally lit rooms. Along with standard video inputs, this NEC projector supports the HDTV interface for a fully digital video signal input and a smooth performance. The eco mode improves power consumption and extends the lamps lifespan from 2,500 hours to 3,500 hours. This NEC NP64 includes spectrum of extra features, such as automatic keystone correction of up to 40 degrees, autosense, a wall color correction feature, Kensington lock slot, image magnification, sleep timer, and direct power off.
