Decent vacuum when it works

Pros: Initially worked well for the first 5 uses.
Has great suction.

Cons: Stopped working after 5 uses. Would not charge.
Dyson customer service is not so great.

Overall Review: I received this vacuum and it worked great for the first 3 weeks, only 5 uses. Then it just stopped charging and working. Only had blinking lights. Initially I was told that I would be able to receive a refund, however I was told that it was past the 30 day mark. I did purchase it more than 30 days ago, however it took 9 days to receive the vacuum in the mail. So I actually had it for less than a month. I was told that I would only be able to get a battery replacement.

Missing a screw that connects the battery

Pros: The vacuum is great except that they forgot to replace a screw in the handle that helps hold the battery to the handle.

Cons: Noticeable scratch and missing screw.

a very mixed container

Pros: -great design, honestly, Its like a toy that makes you look forward to vacuum your room.
-suction power is strong, definitely matches if not surpasses traditional
-easy to use, change tips, clean
-compact size makes it extremely comfortable to use

Cons: -first thing you need to know is that the run time is laughable. 6 min on top speed, 21-30 (as per their tests) on the lower one. I was having a ton of fun just now cleaning (its Sunday and I work 6 days a week)... for said 6 minutes. I managed to go through 1 room without really being too thorough. I have yet to see how far the lower setting gets me and the performance in comparison to top speed. I would have included my results here, but I read the manual and it takes 3.5 HOURS TO CHARGE TO FULL CHARGE. Is this a joke? Have the people who created this thing ever vacuumed in their life? I don't know about you but when I clean I like to do in one sitting and put some effort into it. 20 minutes is good enough for 2-3 rooms tops if you run through them ignoring the couches and any other more challenging items like rugs. Now I have to plan cleaning around this tool. And these people have the nerve to charge that much for them? Pathetic. Shame on you.
-If you look at the newer generations, max speed run time is the same all across except 1 model, I believe, which lasts 7. and they managed to double the run time on the latest one, I think, for the lower setting.
-Thankfully I got it refurbished for 219.99, which is still way WAY too much considering the battery life issue. So guess what I see as I'm writing this? Yup It's now 156.99(I bought it a week ago). So if you are still willing to buy this, maybe wait and see if you can get a better deal.
-The only reason I haven't bought a knockoff, oh sorry, competitors version is because I have high respect for innovators, and wanted to see for myself what the hype is about. Today I am reminded again to do more thorough research.
-I feel like an idiot. I wanted to buy a nice thing because I could afford it (doesn't happen often). And now I've been made a fool by trusting a what I thought was a respectable company.

Overall Review: -If anyone at dyson comes across this, let your employers know. If getting a battery that lasts longer isn't possible for a reasonable price (haha) at this point in history - include a chord. Make it detachable if your design vision can compromise a bit.
- Would not buy again. I will take a look at other brands and possibly get a second vacuum that can handle its job and keep this one for quick cleanup. It's not like I can resell this thing and get my money back. Because I don't trick people.

Pros: The vacuum cleaner corresponds to the current level of technology, although the price, in my opinion, is somewhat too high.

Cons: If you want to stay on the market, you must be extremely honest with the buyer. For example, the fact that the duration of the vacuum cleaner is not more than 6 minutes and 20 minutes in the second mode, the buyer should know before buying, and not after it. And further.
Here is a quote from Dyson's Story. - "James has always pulled things to pieces ...." Most likely this is the case .. But when I tried to pull the filter out of the case, using the smooth ledge on the case cover, I was disappointed.

Better than the V6...

Pros: This baby can suck... On the normal setting this vacuum picks up everything. On the turbo mode, it'll try to lift off the hardwood off the subfloor... I have a V6 that my cleaning lady has beat the snot out of; it still works well, but I have to take the roller brush out really often to clean it. They've changed the design for the V7 and it doesn't get fouled as easily, and it picks up like my Oreck; I did take the brush assembly apart to look at and Dyson really is a genius; it's amazing how they make the roller tick.

Cons: So far I only have one almost problem; the trigger sometimes lags turning the unit on, and you have to jiggle it not always, but enough times to make me worry. There again, there was a design change; when you pull the trigger, you're actuating a relay, and somehow it's off kilter. I'd hate to have to ship it back...
I wish the attachments were interchangeable, they're not.
