These actually did a very good job of absorbing sound from all different sources (monitors, singing, talking). They're very soft and plush, which makes sense in terms of physics. Sound waves are physical vibrations that travel very fast with relatively high velocity. So logically, the softer and deeper the surface, the more sound waves that are prevented from bouncing off the hard surfaces back out into the room. And this periodic groove structure of foam is the best choice for sound absorption

Acoustic foam reduces or eliminates echoes and background noises by controlling the reverberation that sound can make by bouncing off walls, create a great sound environment for the vocals.

It is easy to expand:
-putting the foam into water and press them like sponge from the non flat side to the flat side to force the waster expand the foam
- shake them al little bit and finish to expand them by stretching them manually (be gentle to avoid tear them up)
- let them dry under the sun for 3 hours.
It is easy to install:
- use double 3M tape/spray glue to stick them on a cardboard and then tack that cardboard to the walls.
- use double 3M tape/spray glue to stick the cardboards on the walls.
