Question 1

Kensington SmartFit One-Touch vs Ergotron LX Dual: which fits 32-inch monitors?

Accepted Answer

The Kensington K59601WW is the more suitable option to consider for displays larger than 27 inches: Kensington specifies support for monitors up to 34 inches and 19.8 lb per arm. Ergotron specifies the LX Dual Side-by-Side for monitors up to 27 inches and 7–20 lb per arm. Confirm each monitor’s weight, VESA pattern, and physical clearance before choosing, since screen-size limits alone do not guarantee fit.

Question 2

Kensington SmartFit One-Touch or VIVO STAND-V002 for two monitors?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Kensington K59601WW if you want gas-spring arms that make it easier to reposition monitors during the day. The VIVO STAND-V002 is a pole-style mount with height adjusted along the center post, making it a fit for displays you set up and rarely move. PCWorld’s testing also describes the VIVO’s adjustability as limited compared with full-motion arms. Check the VIVO’s specific model variant for its monitor-size limits.

Question 3

Kensington SmartFit One-Touch vs SmartFit Space-Saving dual arm: which should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Kensington SmartFit One-Touch K59601WW if you want gas-spring arms for frequent, independent repositioning of each monitor. Choose the SmartFit Space-Saving K55513WW if your monitors will mostly stay in place and you prefer its simpler knob-based adjustments. The Space-Saving model is specified for monitors up to 27 inches and 17.6 lb per arm; check the K59601WW’s monitor weight and VESA compatibility against your displays before buying.

Question 4

Will this monitor arm fit my monitors?

Accepted Answer

It is listed for two monitors from 13 to 32 inches. Each monitor should also have a 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm VESA mounting pattern and weigh no more than 19.8 lb. Check the monitor’s VESA pattern and weight before buying.

Question 5

Can I adjust the monitors separately or stack them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The arms adjust each monitor’s height, depth, and angle, and allow side-by-side or vertically stacked positioning. Each arm’s counterbalance tension can also be adjusted to suit the monitor’s weight, within its capacity.

Question 6

Will it fit my desk?

Accepted Answer

The arm can attach with a C-clamp to desks 0.39–3.3 inches thick, or with a grommet mount to desks 0.39–3.1 inches thick. Grommet installation requires a hole 0.41–1.97 inches in diameter. Measure the desk and check for clearance underneath before choosing a mounting method.

Question 7

Is this a good choice for a dual-monitor office setup?

Accepted Answer

It suits a desk-based setup where you want to reposition two compatible monitors and free some desktop space. Its articulated arms provide height and angle adjustment, and built-in cable management helps organize monitor cables. It requires a compatible desk mounting point and VESA-compatible monitors, so it is less suitable if you need a freestanding or travel-ready stand.

Question 8

Can the two monitors be arranged in different orientations?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit owner of a Kensington SmartFit dual arm reported using one monitor vertically and having enough movement to position both horizontally. This is one user’s experience, so check the product’s adjustment range against your intended desk layout.

Question 9

Can it hold a 32-inch monitor alongside a smaller second screen?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit user reported using a Kensington SmartFit dual arm with 32-inch and 27-inch monitors. The product information provided lists support for 13–32-inch monitors; check each monitor’s weight and VESA compatibility before buying, since the Reddit post does not confirm those details for this exact model.

Question 10

Is this a good option for a shallow desk?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit commenter described a Kensington SmartFit dual arm as suitable for a shallow space. That is an individual report, not a measured clearance guarantee; check the arm’s reach and the space behind your desk before choosing it.
