Damaged out of the box.

Pros: I don't know what the Pros are, I can't use it

Cons: Everything was fine until I plugged the TV in. The screen is damaged. you see damage only after you turn it on

Good buy for the money

Pros: Picture quality is great!
They've sent me the wrong model but they have generously made up for it.

Cons: They've sent me the wrong model but they have generously made up for it.

Received an E55-E1, not a E55-E2

Pros: - Great deal (Nov 20th, 2017: $309 /w free shipping).
- Received fairly quickly (although, I wasn't told the carrier would be Pilot Freight Services ahead of time for tracking purposes).

Cons: - Wrong product.

The product page stated I was ordering a refurbished Vizio E55-E2. Instead, I received an E55-E1. The E55-E1 has an IPS panel while the E55-E2 has a VA panel. There is a considerable difference in contrast ratio between the two models. There are other small differences as well, but this is, by far, the most important.

Other Thoughts: Is Newegg aware of these bait-and-switch tactics—for which VIPOUTLET (marketplace seller) appears to have no qualms about employing? I've already had numerous correspondences with them and they're unwilling to straighten this out with the exception of an offer for a refund upon return. This is despicable, unacceptable behavior and I'll be making sure Newegg hears about my dissatisfaction with this seller.

If I had known I'd receive an incorrect model beforehand, I could have taken advantage of other TV sales opportunities available on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Sadly, it's now too late for that.

VIPOUTLET in a nutshell

Pros: There are no pros and since I cant give it 0 eggs I am forced to give it 1egg.

Cons: The customer service number they provide does not work, all it will do is say trying to connect you now, then hangs up in a minute.
They do not respond to emails. The shipping goes through Piolet Frieght which so far has been a terrible choice, no real customer support from them either just a bunch of you have to call this number to get this done and that number gives you another number.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend VIPOUTLET to anyone, cause this is a service I wouldnt want anyone else to have to deal with ever.
If it costs a little more to get a similar item thru a different seller, DO IT you will get your item much faster and without all the bullcrap from vipoutlet.

Probably the worst purchase to date

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: They give me a older TV model then what the description says
Not sure what was going on but I was given the wrong TV stands and remote so the TV was useless.

Other Thoughts: After waiting two weeks after ordering I received a TV model that was not the model iterated in the description. I was given the wrong TV stand and remote so the TV was useless. I reached out to NewEgg who reached out to the vendor who got back to me 7 days later with a return shipping label. I was told I could get a refund once the TV was received by them. Looking at the tracking status its been 8 business days since the TV was received and I still have no refund. I have been calling and emailing VIP outlet for over five days but no one seems to get back to me. I don't suggest buying from this vendor. Clearly customer service is not what they believe in giving me the wrong TV.

Beautiful

Pros: big upgrade from my old vizio. this is bigger, brighter and clearer. best tv i have had yet. you will enjoy it.

Cons: i like to run my computer on this sometimes for some games however there is not a hdmi high velocity port like higher vizio models so there is a little latency lag but still playable.

Disbelief!

Pros: I was in real disbelief when I saw this for sell for $300 but even as a referb it was a steal. It was shipped to me within a week and the packaging for it what excellent. Super easy to setup no dead pixels at all and this has everything in a TV that I want right now in 2017.
-4k 55"
-Smart TV
-HDR
-120hz (180 action)
-Full Array & Local Dimming (Which was the most important thing I was looking for in a LED panel)

Cons: -No Display port but not to many TV have that right now as it is anyways, not really a con but something that would have been awesome to have to really take advantage of the 120hz for gaming.
-Speakers are load and audible not the greatest but they get the job done. Got a vizio sound bar on sale the same week

Other Thoughts: Great TV over all, don't be scared of a referb. I've bought many referb products from Newegg over the years and so far have been really satisfied.

A M A Z I N G !!

Pros: Everything ...
Quality of Product
Shipping
Price (feel like I got away with larceny)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Please read the manual, understand the technology, properly configure your set-up, seek assistance or advice if necessary ... and, ENJOY.

I, too, received the E55-E1 (firmware 3.1.17.0 3.0.1). No difference with the E-2 - other than a few lbs and watts (see the manual). Both the E-1 and E-2 shipped with IPS panels. Vizio never confirmed VA panels (which 'ain't really all that') as listed along with IPS in the CNET review.

Vizio did pooch the pixel clock rate in their specs, and understanding the tech is appropriate, here. Both the E1 and E2 do HDR 2160p (4K UHD) @ 60fps (or, 60Hz). Like 'Plasma' panels (remember those?), sub-pixels on the E1 and E2 IPS panels are capable of cycling 10X per second, with a SUB-pixel
clock rate of 600Hz - not the '600MHz' (6000 fps? - LOL) as shown in the Vizio specs.

What this simply means is that every full pixel on the screen can be re-drawn every second (60Hz), but little bits of those full pixels (called 'sub' fields or pixels) at 10X that rate each second. This helps smooth color transitions, fast motion, etc. You will be tested, later.

First thing I did was enter the Menu and disable the 'Video ACR Data Collection' spyware (see manual). I attached an HDMI 'high speed' cable (anything past v1.3 should work) into the side port labeled 'best' -- DON'T do that. The HDMI-1 port capable of HDR 2160p-4K 4:4:4 is located beside the S/PDIF digital audio interconnection at the bottom. Go figure.

4K HDR was not enabled natively in my set-up. Go to Input > Input Port > HDMI-1 and turn Full UHD Color to 'On' -- I exited the Menu and turned-off the E1. I plugged the other end of the HDMI cable into my PC (into an 'HDMI 2.0b' HDR-capable port), powered-up the E1, and then booted-up the computer. I'm not certain booting the screen first is required.

Win7 did not natively recognize the 4K resolution - it defaulted to 1080p. No worries. I entered the Radeon Settings Menu, selected Display, and turned on 'Super Resolution' --- My first after-thought: "I'm gonna need a higher-resolution wireless mouse" (HA!) I hit Yootoob for some HDR content, watched '4K Norway' and then ventured to 'New Zealand Ascending' (8K 60fps FUHD).

Thank you, VIP Outlet. I'm never going back.

Next up: Installation of a Hauppauge 1609 four-tuner digital OTA TV card, and passing that DTS audio to the system. I'm thinking the quad-HD 'picture-in-picture' will work just dandy, and hoping the 4K up-scaling of 1080p content 'just works' (or AMD/Win7 won't complain too much about me switching between 4K/2K).
