Extremely Difficult to use. 3/8/2019 4:52:37 AM

Pros: - Cheap

Cons: - Doesn't Work properly on one system (can't consistently connect to the video)
- Can't even receive a signal on the other system (despite hours of driver troubleshooting)
Wish I had waited and spent the money on an el gato. Made the mistake of waiting a few months before using and finding out it's essentially a dud so no option of return. BUYER BEWARE THIS IS NOT A CONSISTENT PRODUCT.

Great for 1080p capture, but not 1080i capture 7/8/2018 5:36:44 PM

Pros: No built-in HW encoding, meaning lossless capture is possible
Tested to work with OBS and VLC. It is not necessary to use the bundled software to record as long as the driver is installed.
Works well for 1080p60 capture

Cons: 1080i input is VERY CRUDELY deinterlaced to 1080p30 by throwing away half of the fields, losing half of the resolution and half of the motion fluidity in the process. If you want to capture 1080i in full quality, this is not the card. I thought 1080i would be captured correctly because of the YUV 4:2:2 chroma subsampling in the specs, but that is not the case.

Overall Review: The driver can installed separately from the bundled capture software.

Pirect Uldra-P60 Video Capture card 6/16/2018 1:58:02 AM

Pros: For John's Question: The HDCP is called High-bandwidth digital content protection - it is a encryption scheme new for 4k content. This amounts to a claim that the capture card does not record 4k video that has HDCP protection. From what I understand, that would be about 1/2 of all 4k content out there.

Cons: None

Overall Review: None

No driver support for software, Pinnacle, Adobe 10/22/2017 7:57:20 PM

Pros: The card works and I am able to connect it to a camera and observe on the monitor.

Cons: Unfortunately, this seems to be a new card with a new chip that has not yet, after several months, bee adequately supported with software that would allow use of video software such as Adobe, Pinnacle, etc. I do not suggest a purchase until the drivers are updated to support common video software. I have consulted several individuals who have better knowledge about this problem. They have told me that the driver is the issue and if I hope, the company might do what it should have done before putting the product on the market.

Overall Review: I do not recommend the product unless the update.

Great for the price 7/10/2017 8:07:17 AM

Pros: -Two inputs
-Works well with OBS
-Cheaper than similar cards

Cons: Initial setup on Windows 10 was a little problematic. OS refused to boot on several occasions when first installing the card, even when drivers were present. Tried multiple slots on motherboard, finally had to install the card while computer was already on in order to update MBR when restarting. Used a PCI Express 3.0 slot to get it to finally work., did not work in either of my PCI express x1 slots.

Overall Review: If trying to capture PS4 footage, be sure to go into the PS4 menu and disable HDCP. If you don't, the capture will flash for a second and only show green on the input. The instructions do say that you cannot preview or record HDCP content. but do no say what that is or what types of inputs that might be. It is an HDMI security measure like DRM.
