- MCS9990 is a single-channel multi-function PCI Express card, capable of connecting 4 USB 2.0 host controllers. Each port has a bandwidth.; This enables four USB 2.0 host controllers to share the 2.5 Gbps wide PCI Express bus bandwidth.; It supports two operation modes:; The USB host mode and OTG mode can be selected by choosing the pins through the device mode.; The USB host mode supports four USB 2.0 host ports and four USB host controllers.; The OTG mode supports two USB 2.0 host ports, one USB OTG port, and provides the option to choose between GPIO or ISA interfaces.; Four USB 2.0 host ports are integrated with the on-chip transceiver and support four enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) functions.; And four open host controller interfaces (OHCI).; The USB OTG port is integrated with the OTG PHY and supports both host and device operations.; The temporary ISA interface typically supports four serial ports and/or two parallel ports.; The 24 temporary GPIO pins can be programmed as either input or output.
