Been a builder for 25 years; best cooling fan I've ever used

Pros: Pros: Very light, low profile and highly effective cooler. Fans/heat-sinks have truly gotten ridiculous in dimensions and weight which puts uneven pressure on the CPU and MB as these monsters protrude horizontally from the board. This cooler is about a third of the weight. It is offset slightly to ensure it doesn't interfere with critical slots or access; I had no problems at all installing my memory, video card or M.2. Tom's of course did a good review which showed the data that proves the efficacy of this unit in cooling versus the alternative monsters I refer to.

Cons: Cons: I honestly can't think of any negatives about this unit, at least not yet.

Overall Review: I'm running an Intel 8600 on a Gigabyte Gaming 5 MB with a Sapphire NITRO 580. With moderate overclocking by CPU temps have never breached 60 C, and does so without having to worry about water leaks :)

Makes Annoying Ticking Sounds

Pros: Cools ok, no trouble mounting it to a mini itx cpu. Mounting hardware was good quality.

Cons: At low speed it makes an annoyingly loud ticking sound. It sounds like the fan is rubbing on the frame but I cannot see where. Also, there is a visible wobble in the fan. Wish I could get a replacement fan because this unit is useless to me.

Overall Review: If the fan didn't make the rather loud ticking sound I could recommend this product.

UPDATE: Received a replacement fan from company. Now cooler runs quietly and works as I had expected. I have changed rating from 1 to 5 eggs.

Works well

Pros: It cools well and has a nice low profile. It comes with everything you need including thermal paste. It's on an intel i7 7700k and even with a ok overclock it runs at a good temp. For the the most part it is quiet. Besides a very low hum, you can't hear it at all and I have it at full blast all the time.

Cons: It is a little difficult to install. This was my first PC and I really thought I was going to hurt the motherboard, because it requires flipping it upside down and holding it down while you put screws in. Could of just been me but IDK.

Overall Review: Would recommend but, like I said, this was my first PC build so I don't know what's good.

8700k 8th gen works

Pros: This is my favorite cooler. Works with 1151 8th gen 8700k. This thing looks sweet, is quiet and easy to setup.

Cons: I am fairly stupid about installing anything, so I didn't like having to install this because at some point you will have your board flipped upside down trying to line everything up.

Overall Review: Ok guys don't forget that water coolers take longer to heat up because the properties of liquid but METAL cools faster. What does that mean? In the battle of air coolers vs water a longer test period she be considered. Conclusion air coolers are still fine. Water coolers are being reported at lower temps falsely. Sciencestudio youtube taught me that.

Perfect for mini-itx builds

Pros: -Large, multi-level design provides maximum cooling while still leaving space for headers on your mobo
-Simple install, solid build quality

Cons: -Multi-tier design leaves space for headers, but you may need a 90' / angle adapter to fully utilize your mobo

Overall Review: I'm using this in a Fractal Design Node 202 gaming build, and this low profile cooler fits perfectly. I haven't tried overclocking with this cooler yet, but I have no doubts that it can handle at least some light boosting.

For the most part a solid performing product!

Pros: Low-Profile, quiet, relatively easy to install.

Cons: Wide footprint combined with low profile can cause clearance issues. This fan actually blocks the DIMM slot closest to the CPU on my ASROCK motherboard... fortunately I was only planning to use two of the FOUR DIMM slots anyway so no harm but if you are looking to use four DIMMs on your build be very careful.
