XCLIO A380BK Fully Black SECC 1.0mm thickness ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Very nice bang for the buck. I read every review before purchasing and it seemed alot of ppl were surprised by the size cuz its definitely a full tower, unlike advertised as a Mid tower. Heres the specs since you wont find them anywhere else. 23"L x 21"H x 8"W and every bit as big as the ThermalTake Armor series. Inside its no bs and lots of room. The dual 250mm fans is what sold me on this case cuz no other case offers this, and they are whisper quiet. I can actually hear my raptor hd accessing data now, coming from a Mid tower Raidmax with 6 case fans all pushing 250 cfm roughly combined. It sounded like a microwave. Not this one. Its very quiet, and looks very sharp. In some reviews the front grill was delivered damaged and touching the fan cuz it seems packaging doesnt protect the front as well as the top and bottom. Also check the led's on the fans cuz i did find one about to hit. Just simply bend it out.

Cons: Advertised as high gloss when its actually semi to dull. Top usb's are not standarized with plugs. Each wire is separate. Weak manual that didnt explain which way to position the screwless drive brackets. If you get them in backwards they are a pain to get out. Tiny button speaker wasnt explained in manual and I almost threw it out cuz case doesnt come with a typical speaker.

Overall Review: I highly recommend this case if you want extra cooling. The rear port hosts a variety of different sizes of fans but 120mm is the way to go. Xclio added a nice touch in illuminating the logo with the Hdd lead. The side fan covers my vid card nicely but could be a little lower when going sli to cover the second vid card. Cpu temp dropped from 104 to 89 idle up to 100 loaded. Gpu's dropped from 145 idle to 133 up to 144 loaded. Abit Fatality, AM2 5200+ w/Zalman, Nvidia 7950 GX2.

Pros: Great looks! The blue LED Fans are huge and quiet. This case has plenty of room and was a breeze to set up... Truly a tooless case. My computer was packed with 3 HD's 4 optical drives an FX -60 processor and 2 Geforce 7800 GTX's running SLI. My system ran really hot until now. This case keeps everthing cool. Ordered it on Wednesday and got it on Friday couldn't ask for faster shipping. Thanks Newegg!

Cons: Those of us who have Sound blaster audigy front panels wont be able to close the front door on this. I think it can be modified to work though.

Pros: This is a huge case, I don't think I quite realized from the picture. Lots of room to work around in. I really like that the 3.5 HD bays are right behind the front fan. You can fit five drives in there if you take the tool case thing out. You may be able to get one more under the floppy drive, but I didn't try. Independent fan speed controls for both the front and side fans - the front fan has a dial on the side, the side fan uses a PCI port cover for a dial. Although audible at full speed, the fans are pretty much silent at low speed. They keep a lot of air flowing even at minimum though, I was impressed.

Cons: No HDD activity light! Weird. The front door has a magnetic catch. Has a nice feel, just don't go pressing disks against it. Some sharp edges, particularly around the PSU area. I wish I could easily turn the LED's off. I don't really want a bright case. The circular jet-engine design means you can't easily lay it on its side, even just to install the MB.

Overall Review: Both fans use a standard 4-pin IDE-style power connector, which means that "system fan" plugs on your MB can't be used. (Which means your MB can't change the fan speed based on temp) I dialed both case fans to minimum, added a 120mm fan to the rear of the case, and plugged *that* into the system fan port on the MB.

Pros: It is a cool looking case. The huge fans look awesome, the blue LEDs are everywhere, and the acrylic window is big. There are fan controls, which is nice, and the front door is relatively sturdy and held shut by a magnet, which is neat. The case is VERY roomy, and I've had no trouble fitting everything in, even a huge huge heatsink. The price was good, too, but I got it on sale for a hectodollar. It's sturdy, too...the metal is pretty thick. It's pretty quiet. The loudest thing in my case is the heatsink.

Cons: I don't really like the tool-less construction. The PCI and PCI-E cards, for instance, are not held in by thumbscrews, but a retainer clip that holds them all in simultaneously. It is flimsy, and when you lift it up to put a new card in, all your cards shift. The plastic rails for the DVD drives and such are visible when you open the front door of the case, and they are bright yellow. The case shape makes it hard to install everything, because the sides are not flat and you can't lay it flat on one side. As you put parts in, the weight distro changes and it will rock back and forth. The fans are big and push a good bit of air, but the velocity is low. Thus, my mobo is running a bit warmer than I like (it stays around 45C). Remember that heat transfer from moving air is based mostly on the convection coefficient, which is a function of air velocity, not volume. There's no way to turn off the LED's, so if you sleep in a room with this thing, good luck.

Pros: It's big and very awesome (if this is your taste in cases). Fans are fairly quiet imo (the difference between low and high speeds do not affect the dB lv's much, I consider it very minor. Included toolkit is nice touch. You can put it together with practically no tools, your hands are good enough for most of the finger friendly pieces.

Cons: It came with a single tiny internal speaker that can easily be missed (it's even labled "speaker.") Tool kit SHOULD be removed because it blocks airflow (a con, if you leave it there). The rails for when I installed a DVDwritter has a stopper that makes it VERY VERY VERY difficult to fully insert the DVDwritter. *It was frusterating to the point I used a file and milled the stoppers off of the railing. (Then it slid in like a charm.)

Overall Review: When I recieved this case, I noticed a THIRD fan installed already (a light up 120mm fan also XCLio brand). It's not in any of the pictures, notes, or advertisements, so somehow I got a freebie I guess, a definate +! Didn't have any problems with fans being damaged in any way during shipping like some other reviewers. I chose this case as part of the black friday deal where you could combo this with the XCLio Powersource for a really great combo (same brand and discounted price!) Personally, I think this is an awesome case. There are a lot of people who do not like janky looking cases, that's fine as long as you think that it is cool. I almost bled trying to insert the DVDwriter, but maybe I'm just inadaquet as an engineer. Otherwise, highly promote this to anyone with the space for a big tower. I hope this is helpful for those considering purchasing this case.

Pros: If you're looking for a full tower to hold a beast of a system, this is it! It runs extremely quiet, and both the front and side fans have (working) adjustable speeds. It also has a fan on the back, though it's not advertised. All the cables are labeled too! The tool box is nice as well, but removable if you need the extra space for hard drives.

Cons: This thing is a monster in weight and a bit awkward to carry.

Overall Review: Everything was really easy to install and move over from the old case. And looking back at my stock HP case that I had, it could easily play hide-n-seek inside the new thing.

Pros: Very large can fit any motherboard and video card LED lights changing looks great No problem cooling the case

Cons: The side fan after about 1 year is loose and is hitting the housing LED lights stop changing colors on a few not all but looks bad Inside of case is gray primer not black as the outside

Overall Review: I liked the case when I first received it. Fit all the components I had including a large CUP heatsink fan cooler made by Indigo Extreme. Had to take the side fan and mount it on the outside the case to fit the heatsink. I am just disappointed that the side fan is already failing and need to buy another one. Going with a different brand with a cover.

Pros: I bought this case due to the fact that i was experiencing heat issues with my old Pentium 4 Pc. I wanted my new core2quad to never have that problem. This case is the poster child for air movement. It works as expected. Fans are quiet, move a lot of air. My motherboard and cpu stay cool (with the help of a thermaltake orb as well) and there are no issues long as the fans stay spinning. Drive bays are easy to deal with, front panel is easy to work with.

Cons: The usb plugs on the top of the case are located in the spot where you usually put things on top of your case that you shouldn't. So your always having to relocate stuff to plug in something. No front panel audio connections. The fans stop working after too short of a time. I had the side fan go wonky after less than the first year, XCLIO graciously replaced it free. The front fan and the new side fan then started going wonky again a year or so later. The following fix seems to have them spinning properly again. Lucky for us this is just a bearing-lubrication issue. Removing the large sticker off the back of the fan, the rubber "cap" and dropping a few drops of quality oil in the bearings solves this and then they start working again. I replaced the cap and stuck it down with a new sticker I had handy that was about the same size. If your fan starts 'hitting things" or slowing down, try this. YMMV
