Pros: -Tons of space -Ability to install 2 computers is awesome -Extremely well engineered and designed -Placement of HDDs, fan orientation in the front, ability to install rear fans on the outside of the case/desk -Ability to install gaming rig and bitcoin mining rig -Bought on Memorial Day and got 30% off which really helped. -Excellent Cooling -QUIET, finally with all my fans running at 1300 RPMS. at 1100 It's dead silent. _Copious amounts of RGB lighting. Their blue color lights up all my UV reactive tubing. Very impressive. -Absolutely Jaw dropping GORGEOUS! IT WILL FLOOR YOU!!!! -I can grab the glass top with both hands spread out and drop it in to place myself. Perfect size for me and I'm 6' 2". -Tremendous amounts of accessories that are really really useful like the 4 PWM fan splitter (4 of them), with 8 rgb strips and more. -The case is brimming with all kinds of quality and engineering surprises like the addition of feeders for the tubes that accommodate a multitude of in and out tubes as well as cables. They actually thought about it. You rarely see that from other manufacturers. It's all the little things they throw in that really impress you. The front panels on both front sides of the face is awesome, you get HDMI 2.0B, USB Type C 1x, 2x USB Type A, and a headphone and microphone jacks. Then below you have 3 RGB dials. I love that this desk includes a single 5.25" bay. a second one would have been better but still I am happy its there because I have my Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 and this is the single best accessory any true enthusiast should have. -Beautiful minimalist look brimming with sexy sleek curves and the black color gives off a dark and sinister tone. Combined with the lighting you can really change the mood of your room and desk. -I wake up every morning with a grin. -The aluminum construction is outstanding to say the least. It's a sight to behold. The thickness of the aluminum is excellent, not thin but not thick, just right. It has these tiny little screws keeping it all together which is astonishing. -The legs seem like hardened steel, thick and sturdy. -Assembly needs to be carefully planned. Which is something I like to do. And this desk really makes you think. It also needs 2 people. I was able to do it by myself but moving it I needed help. -I can't wait for the 2 GT fans to die so I can swap in some genetically superior Noctua's. -Plenty of space for water cooling setup, I don't use acryllic tubes, I use Primochill and Feser tubing(stocked up). -Cooling 2 Radeon R9 290 on Crossfire and a i7 4770k on the same loop set to 75F. -Ultimate PC Master Race Investment. Genetically Superior BRO!!
Cons: -Little space in the back of the computer between the expansion card area and the fans in the rear. But with a little maneuverability of your hand you can get back there. -Customer support was next to nowhere, they sent me the desk with the European PSU so after a few emails they sent me the correct one, USA, which kind of sucked because I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get it. But beyond that they don't help you at all with ANYTHING. I ask questions that never get answered. I want to be able to order more accessories for the ability to install more HDDs and SSDs but due to the near lack of support from them I doubt they will send me it especially since they don't answer any other questions. -The manual sucks. You can figure it out though if you spend some time brainstorming.
Overall Review: -I replaced all the fans with a mixture of 5 Noctua 120MM 2000 RPM fans (the new ones) and 2 Gentle Typhoons at 1850 RPMs. I am no longer a fan of Gentle Typhoon because they suffer from creep too early. I had 3 at 1850 RPMS and 3 at 2150 RPMS and they all started showing creep within 2 years. They are all running at 1300 RPMS. I am running a JBJ da500b commercial water chiller in the next room with an 8.5 gallon brew kettle plumbed with Koolance quick disconnects, and 2 Koolance D5 Strong pumps. I drilled 2 holes through the wall and passed the tubes through. Blue and Yellow, Go Wolverines!! I wish I could show some videos and pics of my masterpiece! -Running this all with my new Roccat Vulcan 120 AIMO and Roccat Leadr. Next comes 3 RTX 2080 Sli and Threadripper 2950x, MSI MEG Creation and Koolance EXC-800 water chiller. -I haven't tried their fans out but when I install my mining rig I will use their fans and compare.
Pros: Variety of Configurations Comes with some Spare Hardware Beautiful and impressive system after assembly Unboxing is Easy Packaging is high quality, prevented damage, and was easy for 1 person to move.
Cons: Instructions are Terrible Included cable Lengths Hardware (screws, etc.) is low quality Included RGB strips should run off desk power instead of requiring 2 SATA power connections (especially since there is no option to sync them with motherboard).
Overall Review: I will say this up front; the case is AMAZING. You will never need another case again if you are using this as your primary daily rig. However, there are some drawbacks which I will get to. I have my build configured with my motherboard to the right and water cooling components to the left. You can then remove the left motherboard mount and you now have a free test-bench... quite nice. You can fit a 480 thick rad in push/pull configuration on the left side.....barely. You can also fit a 360 medium thickness rad with fans in push/pull on the same side. I also have a 360 rad in front of the motherboard, but with fans in pull. You cannot place the fans in push because you run wires underneath the rad to the front IO, hard drives, optical drive, (yes, I use one), and included RGB strip header. I would not recommend placing a rad behind the motherboard. If you populate the rear IO at all, you will run out of space. This case does have nice sized pass-throughs for wires on both sides of the case. I was able to run a drain tube out the left side of the case. A unique challenge of this build is cable length.....especially when using one power supply. You will find yourself using custom cable or cable extenders to get power to fans, water pump, and the included left RGB stip header (yes, the case has 2 a right and left strip controller that are both SATA powered). The left side RGB controller/header that is connected to the left side front IO has a cable that is about 6" long. This means you will run a 5 ft power cable from your power supply that is at the extreme other end of the case. The front IO wires on each side are not long enough to reach a motherboard installed on the opposite side. This makes it basically impossible to activate the front USB ports on both side of the case if you are running a single system (even when you have enough headers on your mother board). The case does have allot of hidden nooks and crannies that are perfect for hiding cables. You will definitely use ALL of them. If you plan to use the included RGB cables with their analog controllers, be sure to wire them before installing any other component. They are in the extreme corner of the case and any other hardware will hide them. The analog controls feel nice, but it would be better if there was an option to wire them to be controlled through your motherboard instead of being stand-alone. In fact, you cannot even sync the left and right side strips because they are completely independent systems. The included instructions are better that what is available on the website, but still quite terrible. Lian Li needs to look over to ASUS ROG cases that have both full color picture DETAILED image and picture INSTRUCTIONS and come with a RIGID, SEGMENTED ORGANIZATION tray for each screw, bolt, nut, etc. All the screws coming mixed in 3 plastic bags is not acceptable for a case that is supposed to be super-premium. Also, the included screws are extremely low-quality. I frequently found myself stripping the included screws (which do not react to magnets) and replacing them with better ones I got at the local hardware store. Lian Li did put metal shrouds over the rear fans, which is a great idea to keep wires from accidentally going into a fan blade. I ended up replacing the included fans and placing the shroud on Noctua fans. The included fans seem okay, but not as premium as Noctua fans though. The included fans are 3 pin PWM, but Lian Li included four SATA powered fan hubs that can accommodate either 3 or 4 pin PWM fans. The motehrboard trays are also excellent. You can build your system entirely outside of the case and then just drop it in with 2 screws. The same is true of the front radiator tray mounts. If you are doing a single system, I recommend build order: case assembly, included RGB cables, left watercooling components except tubing (fans, rads, pump, res), right rear fans, system outside of case, insert system into case, front IO and hard drives, right front fans and rad, tube runs.
Pros: - This desk is huge and well built. Shipping is a pain because of how big it is. It normally arrives on either a small pallet or in a huge well protected box. - Plenty of screws and space. - Motor works well and does not have issues - Even if you are tall or short this desk has you covered
Cons: - The instructions are laughable. - No real information about what the 100+ screws are for. - Wish there were more USB ports on the front - Very expensive.
Overall Review: If you are looking for a premium desk that will last for years to come this is it. Its perfect for watercooling and if you want to build two water cooled computers in here its easily done. I really wish there were better instructions or at least a video of all its capabilities. That is the only downside.
Pros: Looks great. Biggest desk of it's kind Two monitor arm supports
Cons: Only two monitor arm brackets. Really need 3 personally. Manual leaves something to be desired. Support answered one of my questions, seems to have forgotten to respond to the other. I can't for the life of me find the Part F mounts for the power supply. Kind of stuck on this part actually.
Overall Review: Don't destroy the boxes, you assemble it onto them. Manual really needs clarification.
Pros: -Tons of space -Lots of fans for lots of cooling, and enough room for a push, pull and radiator in the front of the mobo (full ATX) -can open up the back for monitor wires and mounting to the desk
Cons: -the instructions are pretty bad, but it's not horrible to figure out the missing pieces from it.
Overall Review: definitely recommend to anyone looking to clean up their office, and decrease the amount of clutter.(removed to full size towers and was able to fit 2 systems in here. next i'm going to be rebuilding one of the systems. Currently 1950x Asus ROG Extreme, and an intel i7 6700k. next set will move the 1950x over, take out the i7 and build a 2990WX threadripper 2. also want to place an RPi3 in there so i can say the desk has 100Threads.
Pros: Basically, all the room you'll ever need for anything you build times two. Height can be motorized which helps you work in it as well as stand up and sit down while working. You can use monitor arms for a truly unique experience. Aesthetics are incredible, and the front HDMI is a life-saver for VR users. Plenty of radiator space. All in all, incredible case.
Cons: Cost-prohibitive for most users.
Overall Review: The ideal desk/case for "money is no object" tier builds
Pros: Tons of Space Room for lots of drives Excellent Cooling Easy to mount boards in Good looking very stable
Cons: cable runs from motherboards to exit ports are cramped Assembly instructions could be better
Overall Review: I have this almost a year now and love it as much as the day I got it. I have 2 8th gen i7's with a Nvidia 1070 and a 1050 in it. The case fans are so efficient that the power supply fans and the graphics fans almost never spin up. I have a total of 9 HDD's inside split between the 2 systems. I work with video and audio editing so, one system acts as my media store and editor and the other as my generic workstation and light gaming. I also have 2 monitor arms attached supporting a total of 3 monitors. I took me about 4.5 hours to assemble, and install all the components and dress the cables. The big down side is, now that is built, if I need to get back into it to add another drive or run a new cable for a new capture card, it is a bit of work to pull the monitors down and crack open. Luckily, that is a rare thing to do. If you are looking for a center piece for a home office, want to reduce clutter, don't want a multiple cases floating around, then this is the case for you.
Pros: - Lots of room inside. I transferred the following parts to it from my prior builds: Biostar X370GT5 with Ryzen 1600X and GTX 1080Ti, Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 with i7-4790K and 2x GTX 1080, 2 Fractal Design S36 AIO coolers, APC UPS and Trendnet 5-port switch in the middle, and a bunch of SSDs. - Lots of room on top as well. I have a Dell S2716DG, Schiit Lyr 2 signal amp, Audioengine N22 power amp and P4 speakers, and a dual-headphone stand taking up less than half of the surface. - Transparent top. - External 5.25" bay (happy to see that early reports were mistaken). - Lots of accessories included - LED strips, fan splitters with power injection, extra rubber strips for the feet. Big brownie points to Lian Li for the fan splitters - they make it very easy to slave all the fans to the system board. This is very important for me, since I access the PCs remotely and leave them running unmonitored for days. - Included fans are very quiet. They move less air than something like a Noctua, but noise level is very close (subjective comparison while listening from 1 foot away). Also, there's a lot of them.
Cons: Transparent top. If you don't like a light show on your ceiling or your LCD screen is glossy, this may not be for you.
Overall Review: I live in a NYC studio apartment. Why would I do this to myself? Initial assembly is definitely not a one-man job - it's delivered as a 180-lb pallet load. The main shell will flex slightly until it's fully assembled. This is normal, it's sheet metal that's designed to be kept rigid by the sides and legs.
