Solid value case with caveats (V-Silent). 4/6/2020 2:19:50 PM

Pros: + Roomy inside, in front and in the cable space.
+ Stock airflow setup is good.
+ Cable management and layout is the easiest I've worked with, great cutout placement.
+ Optional, but handy 3-speed fan controller unit. Powered by molex. I opted to not use it and plug in my own PWM fans.
+ Four USB 3.0 ports. If your motherboard does not support 4x USB 3, you can get adapters.
+ The motherboard's cable shroud is easily removable with two screws should you want to.
+ Toolless drive mounts, aside from SSD ones.
+ Comes with four decent, 3-pin 120mm fans.
+ Very strong, heavy panels. Will not bow.
+ Overall fit and finish is very solid.

Cons: - First and most importantly, the product page on the Newegg and Rosewill sites are incorrect. The images show that this case can accept 140mm fans as front intake. It simply cannot. The rails are only wide enough to mount 120mm fans. The top and rear can still accept 140mms, however. If I could upload photos, I'd show you. This is a major oversight and reflects poorly.
- The front dust filter is odd. It's a floppy magnetic hole-punched plastic panel that does not securely attach to the fans or frame in any way. The fans push through the filter, instead of pulling through it. I opted not to use it as it does not attach securely. Rosewill should have tried removable filter strips in the side slats, or a rigid insert that attaches or slides in front of the fans. I might try removing the magnetic filters and hole-punching screw holes to screw into the front faces of the fans, but at that point, why bother with it?
- The power button does not light up as expected: instead, a plain blue and a red LED next to the fan controller serve as power and HDD lights. They're quite bright and if looked straight on can be blinding, but are fine from any other angle. Rosewill could have roughed up the surface to diffuse the light into a softer glow, or placed a diffusing lens over them as part of the IO plate.

By default, the blue one is power and the red one's the HDD. I've swapped them out of preference, but I think the super bright blue LED has come to represent cheap electronics and they may as well have gone with some combo of red, white, and amber instead.
- I actually had one of the PCI slot screws break on me using normal force. Just get a 50-pack of thumbscrews and be happy.

Overall Review: It's still a great case with solid build quality, strong stock cooling performance and potential and noise dampening, especially for the price. I opted not to use some of its features, but I'm happy with the chassis on its own. Note that this is for the V-Silent model. The other models may very well support 140mm fans on the front, but this one cannot. Buy appropriately.

Tons of space! Easy to manage and keep clean and tight! 3/24/2020 9:03:40 AM

Pros: Gorgeous color
Quiet adjustable fans
4 USB 3.0
Comes with microfiber cloth for glass
Tons if space
Tons of tie-off notches for excess wires
Comes with MOBO screws as well as all mounts for drives

Cons: Larger graphics cards sit a bit too tight and sits on a metal lip on the inside

Overall Review: I have a STRIX 1080 ROG and it sits on a lip that hides a long wire port. It doesn't hinder the connectivity but I would prefer that it was only touching the motherboard and the back plate. That is the ONLY fault I have with this case. For this reason, I'm giving it 5/5 eggs! I'm VERY happy with my purchase.

Nice looking case 3/21/2020 9:12:02 PM

Pros: -Good cable management
-Tempered glass
-Plenty of cooling support
-Open design supporting a range of builds
-Plenty of 2.5'' drive support
-PSU basement has a filter

Cons: -Only has two 3.5'' drive bays
-Fan filter is some cheap 360mm magnetic mesh that mounts in the BACK of the fans.

Overall Review: This is a pretty nice case if you don't wanna drop money on a RGB tempered glass case. It has plenty of mounts for fans and has a huge amount of open space to support long video cards and various water cooled builds if you are an enthusiast. There is plenty of space for 2.5'' drives but only two slots for 3.5'' traditional disk drives. The cable management is pretty easy and there is extra room under the PSU to hide cables if needed. I really don't like that they opted for some cheap 360mm filter for the fans. I tried attaching it to the front of the fans but they just rub on them and it doesn't look good. Fans in the front will fail much faster without some kind of dust protection.

Good looking case, but fan controller had issues 3/13/2020 10:11:23 AM

Overall Review: I just would like to start off saying, if there had not been fan controller issues, this case would have been great. First off, it is a fairly large case for being a mid tower and pretty heavy too on account of 3 of the 4 sides being tempered glass. The glass sides made this case look really good, and the four fans that came with the case, while not able to be controlled other than with the included IR remote, looked really good especially in rainbow mode, and had a lot of additional options if you wanted to change how they look. There is also ample space in the case for anything you might want to put in, and cable management was very easy.

Unfortunately, after 2 months, the LEDs on 2 of the 4 case fans started failing. The rear exhaust fan lost 3/4 of the LED ring and only the top right portion stayed lit. One of the front fans LED circles would start okay when the PC booted but after a few mins half of the LED circle would freeze on a single color and no longer be controllable with the included remote.

I contacted Rosewill and asked for a replacement fan controller and two case fans. They declined. They said I would have to RMA the whole case if I wanted a replacement. As you know this is the most frustrating thing that can happen when you recently finish a new PC build. So with no other option I took apart my whole PC and shipped the case back for a replacement. After a week I was contacted by Newegg and was issued a refund instead of a replacement due to product unavailability.

I ended up replacing it with a Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow, and while this case is very small for a mid tower case, I was still able to fit my components in and get my build back up and running.

Overall, I would be weary about this case until they fix their fan controller issue and also am a bit upset about having to RMA the whole thing when only the fans were faulty.

Great value, extra wide. 3/8/2020 8:14:44 AM

Pros: I’m not experienced with RGB cases so I will just describe rather than compare.

Good looking case. Great price.

It has a discreet RGB controller and remote so you don’t have to figure out how to control the RGB through software (if that’s even a thing).

It’s wider (taller headroom for the cpu cooler) than a “normal” mid tower case.

Overall Review: Bought for my 13 year old he liked it.

Overall Review: good starter case if its on sale

Great looking case but with slight issue 2/25/2020 3:17:57 PM

Pros: Case is great looking. It is good for cable management, many spots to fasten cable ties. The basement is a good place to hide the extra wires. Many well thought out holes for cable runs.

Cons: - Fan control switch was broken right out of the box. This is second Rosewill case I have owned and both had issues with switches or buttons on the front of the case. I would like to see a better quality front I/O panel to prevent these issues.

- Not so much a con as a warning. The back panel is also tempered glass and while it is tinted you have to be very neat with your cable management n order to make it look decent. There is no hiding a sloppy job.

Overall Review: Great case but could some better quality front I/O.

Nice case, beware of which model you get. 2/22/2020 9:06:11 AM

Pros: - Spacious
- Nice features
- Pre-installed goodies of questionable quality

Cons: - Useless manual
- Some confusing pre-installed wiring

Overall Review: My primary issue with this case is actually Newegg's fault for bunching all versions of this case into one area of reviews. I kept seeing people mention a fan controller and it took me some research to realize that the V500 Blue version that I got doesn't come with one? Either that or there is a lack of quality control. With that said, if everything works out for you you'll be happy with this case.
