Nexus FSA-75 3-Speed Fan cable, 5V - 7V - 12V

Pros: Inexpensive solution, works, slows my loud fans down. However the loudest fans in my case are attached to my GTX-275 card and I can't do anything about that other than pull it from the board.

Cons: The 7-volt leg of the 3-speed fan cable gets really hot. If you're working on cable management and you brush-up against the heat goodie on the wire, it will burn you. Not bad, but annoying.

Overall Review: I must be really bored to write a review about a piece of wire.

Pros: Allowed me to use my 3 pin fan without splicing wires or running it through a fan controller.

Overall Review: I revived an old socket 370 board that I had laying around. I have a case with two 120mm 3 pin fans, but only one 3 pin case fan header on the board. I wanted to keep the build simple (it's for my daughter) and didn't want to install a fan controller or cut and splice wires. This molex to 3 pin adapter worked great. Depending on how hot the case gets or how quiet you want it to run, just plug the fan into the appropriate voltage lead. I'm buying more of these for my next project.

Pros: It does it's job. Arrived in perfect condition.

Cons: Like someone previously said, the 7v capacitor gets hot. Extremely hot. Literally too hot to touch with your bare hands after running for 5 minutes. It may be normal but honestly I would not trust something in my PC that has a temp of 200+ degrees F.

Overall Review: The 5v keeps my Scythe Ultra-Kaze running nice and quiet and gives no heat.

Pros: It works well and is an easy way to lower fan noise, with options for different voltages.

Cons: Too costly for me buy enough of these for all my fans. This should be available in a multi-pack to bring down the cost. The resistor gets hot, I have a similar connector made by Zalman and the resistor is bigger and doesn't get hot like this one.

Pros: It did the job I wanted of it, at 5v it lowered the sound of the system I am working with to a sound level low enough to be a nice gift instead of an obnoxious one. Loud computers are always annoying. No having to adjust it, just plug it in at the voltage you need and go.

Cons: The 7v plug, has a transformer that gets really hot really fast. Apart from that, all I can think of is that there are not more options, but that would have been a bit more difficult to do so I understand the design.

Overall Review: Fits in very tight builds, such as the mini ATX cases designed to sit horizontally. Provides just enough airflow to keep it cool and quiet, always a nice combo.

Pros: This adapter can make a loud fan run whisper quiet.

Cons: none

Pros: Worked perfectly, price.

Overall Review: You can make your own setup easily but this is good too, plug it in and have outputs for several fans, super easy.

Pros: Works fine for nearly 4 months. Hasn't gotten burned up by using two different fans on it.

Cons: One of the wires broke on the 12V connector.

Overall Review: The con isn't much of a problem because it's fixable and you could use the standard adapters anyway. Using in an old AT-based workstation with a Pentium Pro 200MHz.
