can you run a computer off of this?

I would not try to run the computer from hooking to USB and then another drive. 1. You would have a problem booting up with out a system for the computer to load in the USB port to begin with. 2. IF you had a small hard drive with the ability to boot up, you might be able to run some programs but the programs would not be able to run seamlessly. File jumping from drive to "X.dll file/files" on hard drive mounted in computer would take more time.
