The SIIG JU-SC0011-S1 USB to RS-232 adapter cable turns a USB port into two 9-pin RS-232 serial ports. 9-pin RS-232 serial port is obsolete and hardly found on the latest systems. It is a legacy standard for use in a variety of devices such as modems, digital cameras, ISDN terminal adapters, graphics tablets, PDAs, bar code scanners, label printers and more. This adapter supports serial port data transfer rates of up to 230Kb/s, supports USB plug and play, and is powered by the USB bus, no external power adapter is needed.
