Good board

Pros: Easy set up
Recognized all devices on first start-up - NVMe, SSD, hard drive
Easy to overclock if you set your own parameters...and I am a rookie at OC'ing
Conservative single RGB, I am not the average age of most builders and don't see the need for the flashing lights etc
Excellent sound
Wi Fi connects immediately and seems to run consistently as fast as my wired connection with speed tests around 80Mb/sec on my connection

Cons: Built in OC functions are worthless on my board, the system will not run stable using any of the built in easy OC tricks
Bluetooth is non-usable. Tried streaming music to a Bluetooth speaker and it plays for 4 secs and goes silent for 1 sec. Yes, I have all latest drivers and the speaker works great from phone and other computers
The manual skips over several aspects of the bios, so not sure what some of the settings do for me

UPDATE - Bluetooth has started working now, if it continues to work well, it will be a great bump to performance of this board

Overall Review: All in all, I am happy with the board. After about 3 weeks, no issues at all except the easy OC functions that induced multiple BSOD errors. If you are going to OC, set your parameters.

Fail to boot after two months of usage

Pros: - a motherboard as it ...

Cons: - no addressable rgb port

Overall Review: Fail to start after two months of usage. I have an APC to protect against power surge. and it just refuse to boot . no BIOS screen. no POST check at start at all...
At least asus customer support was friendly. I will update this review after I get any response for warranty

Greetings Ton,

Thank you for sharing your ASUS product review. It's unfortunate to hear about the troubles you've encountered with booting up your motherboard. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this process has caused. Ensure that the memory and PSU model are compatible by checking the QVL on our support site. Which LED light stays lit when turning on your PC? Usually, one will light up indicating that a component is not working, such as CPU, memory and memory slots, HDD etc. If you have any product inquiries you can reach a 24/7 live chat agent at http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat or you contact me via email at cl-david@asus.com.

Thank you for choosing ASUS!

Best Regards,

Great board.

Pros: -Good Overclock potential
-Great sounding
-aura sync
-Thermal probe header

Cons: -Aura Sync: There are no on-board headers.. but there is on the mITX? Backwards thinking right there.
- Can't disassociate the CPU fan headers from being linked to the temp of the CPU. Not unexpected but would be nice if i could link it to the thermal probe (for the radiator temp).

Overall Review: I definitely recommend this board.

Don't let the negative reviews deter you, this board has been great.

Pros: -Everything worked straight away, just plugged it all in and selected the memory SPD and was good to go.
-You can update the bios within the bios over the internet, I have done it twice now and it worked flawlessly both times, super simple and painless. The bios have a ton of options, and the optimized defaults were good.
-The board looks great and matches the G.SKILL TridentZ RGB RAM sticks perfectly, the heat spreaders are like exactly the same color, pretty cool if your into aesthetics.
-Coming from a long history of using dedicated sound cards, I wasn't sure if the onboard was going to cut it for an audiophile like me but I've been really impressed. There are 3 different amplifier settings and it will auto detect the settings for you depending on the impedance of your headset or speaker setup. I'm using the HyperX Cloud Alpha's and have the amp set at the 2nd setting with the system volume at 75% and adjust with the inline volume control. No distortion, crisp highs and good bass with plenty of power to spare if you need it. It also automatically detects when you plug in something to the front audio jack, I use this for my Klipsch 2.1 speakers and it makes swapping between the two a little easier.
-The front panel and USB headers are in a good spot on the bottom, making cable management easy.

Cons: -The SupremeFX suite has an option to mute your speakers/headphones when something is plugged into the front panel audio jack. Currently its bugged and not working, you will have to manually lower the volume of whichever device your not using.
-There is no emulated 7.1 through the SupremeFX suite like Creative's CMSS 3D, which I did find disappointing. You still have the options for spacial sound through Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos obviously, just nothing from ASUS. If your a serious gamer your better off in most cases with stereo anyway, but I still like it for some games.
-As has been stated many times already, there is no RGB header.
-No heat sync for M.2 SSD's. This should have been included IMO, nothing flashy, just a simple optional heat spreader would have been nice as its included in most other small form factor boards. That said, I don't think my Samsung 960 EVO has ever been over 55 degrees Celsius.
-I'm not fond of how ASUS distributes the drivers, your left searching through a zip for the right .exe, and the setup.exe in the main folder that you think would be the correct one results in a wrong operating system error. You have to dig through a few sub folders to the X64 folder to find the correct one. This was pretty confusing at first and totally unnecessary.

Overall Review: -I have had no issues with the Bluetooth, I'm only using it for an Xbox controller though, not for audio. I suspect the problems were corrected through updates but since I never experienced them to begin with I can't say for sure.

UPDATE: So I'm still just running the XBox controller, but I did have a chance to test the range of the Bluetooth and its working across my house, probably 40ft with a wall between the controller and the PC. The antenna is sitting next to my PC about 6" off the ground in a little nook of my desk with a wireless router on top of the desk. So a pretty terrible spot frankly but its still working flawlessly.

Using it for my Family's 2nd Computer.

Pros: Works, I have not over clocked it.

Cons: Only 1 no Windows 7 support.

Overall Review: It works using intel I3 400ghz, Corsair 1000 power Supply, Installed my old Asus GTX 760 Graphics card, 16GB Ram, WD blue 500 SSD, and single liquid cooling fan h60. It works great, just make sure you updated Bio's. I am using Windows 10 Pro, I have locked the Bio's with a password, don't want the kids frying the Computer.

Does not overclock. Poor software QA and construction

Pros: n/a

Cons: Software incompatabilities cause constant crashes and the board didn't work for more than 5 minutes before crashing. Asus quality has really gone downhill. The manual is unintelligible which forces you to read on another version on their website.

Unreliable MB callled a lemon. Pass this one buy.

Pros: Worked really well giving high performance for 5 hours and then totally died. Used in business setting. Returned it to Newegg.
New one worked really well for 2 months and then died but this time I had to return it to Asus. Never had to do that before with an Asus Board or for that matter any board other than once a working Server Board for a faulty header.

Cons: Asus warrantee staff wanted $130 for bent pins but I had immediately covered the CPU holder because I had already sent a server back with no cover and they wanted $35 to fix the bent pins so I knew all about that. Also $130 instead of a fair $35 set by another MB maker to end up with a used board not worth anything like $130 means that effectively you have no warranty. Instead of throwing away another $20 to send it back I should have just thrown it in the garbage and will do so next time an Asus MB I own fails. Time is money. I offered this Z370-G for free to my staff and no one wanted it as you do not want to build a rig with an unreliable MB. Instead of suing in small claims court under the lemon law I just wrote off the $200 against the many Asus boards that I have that are reliable. But I am certainly not going to buy any more expensive MB's from Asus as I see that their warrantee dept. and their warrantee are both useless and I would not want to write off $500 or $600 dollars by throwing an expensive Asus MB into the garbage. Time is money!

Overall Review: The Z370-G is unreliable and not in effect warranted. Do not purchase despite superior performance. There are other great Asus MB's out there. I am now using a $120 Asrock from Newegg and while performance is less it is RELIABLE.

Full featured motherboard, simple to install. My first time with an over clocking motherboard.

Pros: Small form factor but packs in a lot of leading edge features.
A good number of USB3.1 ports are provided along with the more mundane USB2.0 ports.
The NVMe ports provide a welcome boost to performance.
The form factor is small and tight so watch the space for the over clocking cpu cooler solution that is used....
Coupled with an unlocked 8th generation i3 processor easily achieves 5GHz performance and all at the click of a mouse button! (thanks to the over clocking wizard that comes with the mother board).

Cons: I would have liked more USB2.0 ports on the back IO bracket and I ended up purchasing a simple PCI bracket that provides four more additional USB2.0 slots......

Overall Review: This mother board is not cheap but on the whole, it provides great performance for the buck!
