Pros:
- Supports RAM at 3733MHz C18 with a Ryzen 3800x.
- Strong VRM (6+4) enables overclocking.
- Superior 4-phase SOC VRM encourages overclocking the infinity fabric, which is key to improving RAM latency.
Cons: A bug exists in Ryzen Master that, once used, renders many BIOS options useless. This is only resolved by resetting the BIOS back to factory.
Overall Review: Hearty VRMs provide a stable platform for the latest Ryzen cpus. Supports RAM speeds in excess of what's listed. The BIOS is slightly buggy and the board has no diagnostic output.
Pros: Easy to install, most things seem to be working.
Cons:
My board arrived with a firmware/BIOS upgraded to support Ryzen 3000, but unfortunately this BIOS includes an AGESA from AMD that breaks the AMD-Vi IOMMU feature for doing PCI passthrough. Before upgrading I used this feature quite a bit. I have been unable to find word on any plans to fix this feature. Would not have purchased if I'd known this would be a problem, and would not buy again.
No diagnostic LEDs on the board.
Overall Review: The board looks nice and basically works except for the AMD-Vi feature being broken.
Pros:
-Looks good
-Pretty lights
-Over-voltage protection works
Cons:
-Won't update BIOS by any means
-Constant failed POSTing
-Motherboard doesn't recognize the GPU in BOIS but detects it's active
-AURA fails often a needs reinstalls
-ASUS provided programs often fail and crash
-Doesn't recognize M.2 slot with active boot drive but boots no issue
Pros: Worked wonderful till it failed. Good performance, look, and features
Cons: Screws come in overtightened, I/O is oversized as well as the board in general, went out on me in just half a year.
Overall Review: Hopefully Asus will be able to fix my existing board but from the reviews on their customer service I highly doubt they will do it for cheap. Will update if it gets fixed. If not, then their support has turned me down.
Pros:
- Easy to install - fit my case perfectly.
- Great, sturdy design and colors.
- I was able to install my components easily without any issues.
- Performance is great, the bios have a good layout that makes it easy to make any adjustments, but it did recognize all my components without issues.
The colors go perfectly with my build (I have a white and gold PC build).
Cons:
- I wish it had more USB connectors (is "connectors" the word? LOL - I did say this is my first PC build). I couldn't attach my Bluetooth (I got a dual WiFi/Bluetooth card) because I needed one more USB connection so I'll probably have to get an external USB Bluetooth adapter or I could've sacrificed my front USB options on my case. Not a huge deal, I will be using this build for video editing, so I won't need too many USB ports, but it would've been nice to have at least 1 more USB connector (sorry if that's the wrong term, haha).
- There's this one set of pins in the center of the Motherboard just under the CPU that is not mentioned anywhere on the guide or labeled on the motherboard. It drove me nuts trying to figure out what it was. I gave up and my PC is working fine - but what if it was another USB option that would've solved my dilemma I mention above? ASUS - you missed something!
Overall Review:
I am building my first PC with the following components:
- Ryzen 7 2070X CPU
- EVGA 2070 Super GPU
- Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe
- LIAN LI Lancool One Digital Gold Gold / White PC Case
- Corsair Hydro Series, H100i RGB PLATINUM SE, 240mm Radiator White
- CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz White
- Gigabit AC 1730Mbps Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless WiFi Card
I can say everything works seamlessly! This motherboard has almost everything I needed to make my first PC build a success!
Pros: Installation was a breeze. Came with the software needed for onboard devices on a Cd instead of a download.
Cons: No cons.
Overall Review: I would recommend this board to any gamer. It is incredible for the price.
Pros: -Great product, no hiccups. Runs great bios is shweet, not bad, lights are awesome bought some phantek lights!!!!
Cons: Only problem I have with it was mainly cause of me not being knowledgable but I had gotten ryzen 5 3600. And the bios was not updated. Pretty much the only thing I can think of.
Overall Review: -yes I would just would want them to know if your going to ryzen 3000 series you do need to update the bios and it's a pain in the but for all the people that dont have much experience. Other then that work absolutely as its needed to!
