Pros: Gorgeous matte black design. On board video, with HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs, giving you plenty of connectivity, and meaning you can make use of Virtu and Intel Quick Sync if you choose. 2 way SLI & X-fire support. The onboard audio is surprisingly rich. I don't feel the need to install a discrete sound card at all. Everything is clearly labeled so you don't really even need the manual when setting everything up.

Cons: Gigabyte uses legacy BIOS, which is a bit disappointing considering UEFIs are steadily becoming the norm. But, that is kind of offset by their TouchBIOS (which you can download from Giga's website) which gives you full access to BIOS tweaking from within Windows. The front panel audio header is placed in a really awkward position, just above the PCI slots near the rear IO. Unfortunately, that means it takes some fairly creative routing (and possibly an extension cable) to connect to it, and with a high powered gpu installed in the top PCIEx16 slot there is fairly significant static interference when running 3D apps. A word of advice, try to avoid running your front panel cables parallel to any active power cables. It should help reduce some of the interference, but IDK if there's any way to eliminate it completely with the positioning on this board.

Overall Review: For the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a much better value in the Z68 lineup. It has all the bases covered when it comes to features, and holds up well against much more expensive competing boards.

Pros: Great value, buy an extra USB/motherboard backplate adapter or two for cheap and you can bring this up to and beyond feature parity with some much more expensive motherboards. You geta Z68 motherboard with the video outputs(4), never know when you're going to need them. Not sure why the more expensive ones leave them off, aside from needing space for extra USB ports and assuming higher-end builds don't strictly need them. Nice matte black finish.

Cons: Doesn't come with much in the way of cables/extras.

Overall Review: I bought this board after the ASUS p8p67-pro was disappointing in it's PCI-e implementation and decided not to support certian PCI-e cards. After BIOS updates claiming to 'improve compatibility' failed, and being that it wasn't a faulty board, I didn't have much choice but to buy a different board. This one came through, and honestly I think the gigabyte overall package is better. Love @bios utilitiy.

Pros: Easy OC'd i7-2600k to 4.0 on air with zero issues. Intel Smart Response feature is great. Great board. Would recommend.

Cons: GSata connections are right under my GTX580 in the only PCI-e 2.0x16 slot so they are a little tricky to get too. Not really a con, but I would have liked more 6/GB/s connections. I knew that it had only 4, so no need to take an egg off for something I knew prior to purchasing. (I read the specs...hint hint)

Overall Review: Mr. Mike, reviewer below. You are incorrect on all aspects. The LAN driver is most definitely included on the CD, I know, because I used it. Touch-BIOS has never crashed on me once, I have used it numerous times to make tweaks and everything is very smooth. Not sure what settings you used but I have not had 1 single issue with booting mine OC'd to 4.0 on air.

Pros: Gigabyte quality board. Z68 chipset. Solid caps, MOFETs, double copper, all that jazz. Loaded with modern ports: USB 3, eSATA, Firewire; full set of video: VGA, DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort; 8-channel audio plus optical SPDIF; gigabit ethernet. SATA III / 6Gb/s on the inside, plus headers for more USB 2, USB 3, and Firewire. USB 2 ports support extra amperage for charging certain non-standard USB devices (iPad, ahem). Nice low-profile fanless chipset heatsink. SLI and Crossfire capable. BIOS absolutely loaded with options for tweaking just about anything CPU or RAM related. With latest BIOS, supports Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio enhancement software.

Cons: BIOS way out of date when I received mine. Definately flash to the latest BIOS from the Gigabyte website (F9 at time of writing). If you have Windows installed, the easiest way to flash is to download @BIOS. The server-based update didn't work when I tried it; I had to download the latest BIOS seperately from the web page.

Overall Review: As always, ignore the driver disc in the box, and grab the latest drivers from the product page on the Gigabyte website (just use the link from the Newegg product page - "Manufacturer Product Page" link in the right-hand sidebar on the details tab). You can also find Intel chipset and graphics drivers on the Intel site, and Realtek audio drivers on the Realtek site. I usually ignore most of the "fancy" Gigabyte utilities, although @BIOS comes in handy. If you update the BIOS, you may have to reinstall the audio drivers. You do get the newer Dolby software in return. The two gray SATA III ports come from a Marvell chip, not the Z68 chipset. I avoided using them and disabled them in the BIOS; one less driver to worry about. Use the white SATA III or black SATA II chipset ports. Read the manual when installing RAM; on this board, for dual channel operation, the sticks are spaced apart.

Pros: Used this board in two builds so far and I'm really impressed. I didn't have a single problem with anything. It took a few seconds to set my 16GB of DDR3 RAM to recognize at 1600 not 1333Mhz. Extremely stable in any OS. Runs OSX Lion 10.7.3 flawlessly; setup with Kakewalk 4 took less time than installing Windows 7 x64 and drivers. This is my new go-to board for Hackintosh. Easy dual-boot with 2 hard drives, OSX and Windows 7. The board just looks nice too. A very nice selection of ports and features for the price.

Cons: Really, no GUI UEFI rather than the same old BIOS look? This has been my only disappointment as I hoped to see a more modern UEFI interface as far lesser board makers now have on budget boards. I care mostly because for client builds it's a breeze to instruct troubleshooting a graphical UEFI rather than the BIOS interface. Otherwise, a minor con.

Overall Review: It's a shame others have had problems with this board- I've virtually never had problems with Gigabyte boards and this one just continues that. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this board, especially for dual-platform Hackintosh builders.

Pros: After reading multiple reviews and benchmarks, was eventually convinced that this one of the best feature-full motherboards for the price. Couldn't agree more! After a small PSU scare, booted up flawlessly and has all of my devices working as expected. With a thorough and detailed manual and a brilliant design, was confident that it would fire up when all was set and done. In love with the bundled utilities, and can't say enough about the all black design. Occasionally find myself staring in admiration through my clear side panel.

Cons: Hard to think of any actually...maybe that it only comes with (4) SATA cables and a SLI bridge, but not a Crossfire bridge? Tough to be hard on a product you REALLY like.

Pros: If you are interested in building a great home theater PC or a gaming PC that you want to connect to a surround-sound system, this is the motherboard for you. In addition to all of the great Z68 chipset features (ability to simultaneously overclock unlocked CPUs and gain access to high-quality HD-3000 onboard video and Sandy Bridge integrated graphics processing power) you get fantastic multichannel analog audio and sophisticated S/PDIF optical digial audio thanks to Dolby Home Theater. If you haven't heard what DHT can do for PC sound, definitely check it out on Dolby's website. The analog audio section hass eight channels running @ 24-bit resolution and up to 192 KHz sampling rate for the inputs and for the outputs, 104 dB signal-to-noise ratio for the inputs and 108 dB signal-to-noise ratio for the outputs! That means high-resolution audio from the best-quality sources like Blu-ray is available right from this motherboard.

Cons: No heat sink on VTT regulator IC. Probably not a problem for non-overclockers.

Pros: Sturdy, clearly labelled motherboard helped put me at ease as a first-time system builder. Board came with current F12 Bios installed. Set up system as a dual-boot Windows 7 / Mac OS machine without issue. Had to fiddle about in BIOS quite a bit, setting drives to IDE etc. to get XP installed (necessary for Win 7 upgrade disc) No evidence of the dreaded "boot loop" that I've heard so much about.

Cons: None so far - not a single issue.

Overall Review: Clearly, with so many negative reports here, something is going on with the boot loops. I would say that I've had to fiddle around in BIOS and with bootloaders, etc. more than most but this particular board has been a gem so far.
