MSI Z77A-G43 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: cheap stable. full sized board with 9 screw downs. thick pcb. came with latest bios. easy to navigate bios. lots of fan headers.

Cons: can only add 0.16 volts max to the cpu so limited overclocking. only four dimm voltages to choose from. other limited voltage options, none for pch.

Overall Review: if you want a board for overclocking spend another $50. if you want a rock solid, cheap board that offers great performance with hdds/ssds at stock or mild clocks this is a great choice.

Pros: Very clean board with everything I need and little that I don't, well laid out for my case and has nice colors. Stable so far but not really pushing it.

Cons: Horrible overclocking ability, lost an egg for that. The bios is the most restrictive I have ever seen, it's pretty and a 6 year old can use it but it's almost useless do anything of importance in it. IMO if you can't work in a text based bios you really don't need to be messing in one anyway.

Overall Review: Would have easily been a 5 egg had not been so restrictive on timing and voltage changes. They also should have spent less time on a GUI and more time on a better user guide.

Pros: -Looks great -Easy to use BIOS -Linux compatible -Stable -Recognized everything out of the box

Cons: -No eSATA support

Overall Review: This is a great board for the price, got it on sale for $100. Colors on this board are great and everything is nicely labeled, great for a first-time builder. Has plenty of SATA ports and HDMI, which is nice. Not that many PCI ports and no eSATA capability which is unfortunate, but acceptable due to low price. People looking for those things may want to check out the G45 model. Recognized my GSKILL 8GB memory running at full 1600MHz speed right out of the box. Runs Ubuntu 12.04 with no problems or crashes at all so far. Board is highly recommended for people on a budget, not planning to do much overclocking, looking for a quality, stable board.

Pros: Got it at a local retailer for about $89 after rebate. Easy overclocking ability. Took my i7-2700k and overclocked it to 4.5ghz. Has an auto CPU voltage option that I used to overclock. Good UEFI bios.

Cons: Unlike Gigabyte motherboards I have owned in the past, this does not have a dual-Bios, so at one point I thought I had fried the board because it would not POST. I removed the CMOS battery for 20 seconds and it reset the overclocking feature. This is may be a major con for some, but once you get the settings right, this isn't a big deal.

Pros: Z77 chipset, LGA 1155, OC Genie II, simple to use BIOS.

Cons: Only has one PCI-E 3 slot. I knew this going in, but I'll probably have to upgrade. Also, no SLI compatibility. This one caught me off guard, so it pushes me to upgrade when I can.

Overall Review: Overall a solid board. I'm using this for my first gaming computer, and I haven't had any problems.

Pros: The bios on this motherboard is beautiful despite what people say. You can even browse the internet through it! Overclocking my i5 3570k to 4.5ghz was a breeze and it auto adjusted the voltage so i didnt have to!

Cons: Bios took some getting used to, but now that i've explored it, i feel like an expert in it!

Overall Review: Not as many features as the pricier options, but still a great board for the money.

Pros: I have it almost fully loaded with cards and other things. The MSI bios works well, I set it on the automatic O/C mode and never really tried anything else but it works well.

Cons: I wish it had another PCI 2.0 slot instead of a 1.0 so I could SLI two GT 660's together but I would probably have to get a newer MOB for that. It could use a few more USB 3.0 if I had to complain about something else.

Overall Review: Overall its a good MOB and I haven't had any problems with it, except I can't get a monitor to connect to it directly. Not really a problem for me since I just use my two GPU's for that anyways.

Pros: It is an MSI Quality board for a rock bottom price. OC genie works in OS for simple overclocking. Took my 3570K to 4.5 Ghz in 1 click realtime.

Cons: msi suite require separate installs for each feature.. don't waste time trying to install the utilities from the disc. - 1 egg

Overall Review: Great board for any level of gamer. No need for spending more money.
