Pros: No problems installing this board. Posted perfectly the first time, everything worked with the first power up and have experienced no problems whatsoever so far. P5K with Intel 6850, Zalman 9700, 4G Crucial Ballistix, Antec 900, EN8600GT, SG 320G, Enermax ELT500 with Vista Business 64 bit in this case. Very fast and stable. No driver issues at all with any of the components. Have not attempted overclocking. Very pleased with Newegg. Great selection and prices. Everything arrived in 4 days in great shape. Couldn't be happier.

Cons: As metioned by others, EIDE socket location could be better. But, the cable was long enough to reach one drive installed near the top of the case. Not a neat arrangement by any means though.

Overall Review: Carefully considered purchase of a complete system as opposed to purchasing components separately to replace a tired system I used at home for extended work/business. I really don't build these things for a hobby. But, as stated above, I couldn't be happier with the outcome and Newegg's selection and service.

Pros: I guess I was lucky and had absolutely no problem setting up this board. I especially loved the ease to update the bios - was a piece of cake. I chose this over the WiFi because I wanted a vanilla board. Good layout to get custom CPU fan and Memory fans installed. Good overclocker. ASUS has never treated me wrong and this board is no exception.

Cons: Yes the IDE is in a bad spot (if you need to use it) but I just decided to get a SATA DVD anyway so I didn't worry about it.

Overall Review: If you want a vanilla board - this is the one.

Pros: As expected fom Asus, easy to install, good quality transistors, nice looking board. I had no problems as I received w/latest Bios. I had not OC yet. Using GSkill 4444-12 with Intel 6750 running at 800 for now...It rocks even without OC.

Cons: I did have to upgrade chipset, my USBs were reading as USB 1. It went away with update from Asus. Yes the IDE is in bad position but no problem with connecting my drives in my case.

Overall Review: Good value for the $$$. I have always used Asus motherboards, thry are dpendable and stalbe, as well as have many OC features.

Pros: Excellent board. No problems found whatsoever, good manual included and great support for new products.

Cons: IDE connector is in a bad spot, but no new drives are ide anyway

Pros: Supporst 1333 mhz fsb, cpu and memory, good interface through windows environment

Cons: not all the frills, heard rumors of on board raid as being sketchy, needs major updates out of the box

Overall Review: ok so the board requires an update to function on 1333 fsb, however that update will corrupt your drivers for the high definition audio, follow this link, its actually a stubborn windows hotfix issue, took me a few hours to find the solution. http://www.driverheaven.net/audio-general-technical-discussion/142385-hd-audio-asus-p5k.html its too bad asus support site doesnt address this, i sent them an email but still no posting about this. everyone i know with this board has this problem, just follow the link after updating bios and drivers.

Pros: Excellent stability, works well with Linux.

Cons: IDE connector is in a bad place.

Overall Review: Asus is a great mobo. I would have placed the IDE connector in a better spot. I use all SATA drives so it is a non factor but if you have any IDE devices you will need a long cable. I run Linux so it has to work and all the hardware is recognized using Ubuntu.

Pros: Good BIOS (ASUS OC profiles are useful), easy to overclock with good results, decent price for P35 chipset, NB heatpipe designed well, ASUS EZFlash utility. eSata, Firewire. I don't know why, but I like the old-school vanilla PCB.

Cons: VDroop. This can be fixed relatively easily with a pencil mod (you can find it on google), but is still an inconvenience. Bad IDE placement, which didn't matter to me anyways since I bought a SATA optical drive. Not enough to knock off an egg. Thing is though, there are other P35 boards with similar features that OC as well for cheaper.

Overall Review: Brought my e2160 up to 3.42 (380x9), RAM @ 912 MHz CAS4 5:6

Pros: I love ASUS so I do like this board and it's reliability. Like the north and southbridge with the heat sink and heat pipe.

Cons: Only one thing. The IDE connector is at the bottom of the board and it's a stretch for any cables I had to reach the Disc drives at the top of the case. Especially if you have a huge graphics card like the Nvidia 8800 series.
