Pros: Nice board, great non-buggy chipset. Express Gate is really cool and potentially a very useful feature, and it worked flawlessly for me the first time I tried it. Setting up my PPPoE connection for internet access was a breeze. Overclocking is a great with this board; there are a gazillion settings you can play with in the BIOS. No RAM compatibility problems at all so far, like some ASUS motherboards.

Cons: The version of Express Gate that comes installed on this mobo doesn't have the music (MP3) player. It has a photo viewer, Firefox web browser, and some other stuff. Don't know if Asus plans on including the MP3 player in future updates. The firm that produces Express Gate makes a version with an MP3 player, but Asus doesn't include it. I would really like to see that included someday.

Overall Review: Bought this mobo to replace an Asus P5E that I had nothing but trouble with. I didn't return the P5E to Newegg because the return period was up. Scavenged the P5E for parts, and discovered that the cool looking copper heatsinks on the P5E are actually copper-plated aluminum. Stay away from the P5E. Get the P5Q instead.

Pros: Nice, clean board. Chipset runs very cool with only passive cooling. And, the Noctua NH-U12P cooler fits it perfectly.

Cons: UPS didn't make the delivery till this past Monday :(

Overall Review: Only tried one overclock point, but that worked well (3.6Ghz, 1600Mhz FSB, DDR2 ~1200).

Pros: Worked out of the box without any real issues. Stable. Be sure to download the manual before purchasing and read the section on supported memory. Purchase one of the recommended DIMMs (I went with G-Skill).

Overall Review: It's a new board, so be prepared to have to update the bios if you're having issues.

Pros: Its a great board. So far works right out of the box. It runs cool and express gate is great! No issues with Quad Core Q6600 either. Make sure you find out which RAMs will works. Been hearing some people had problems cause they didnt use a Ram on the list. Just go to the Asus site and download the manual, the list is in there. I'm using the Corsair Dominator 4 Gb (2x2). Will update review after some time.

Overall Review: The review before mine says the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Item=N82E16835186134, didnt fit, BUT IT DOES... fits for me. It takes a bit of time to make sure it all clicks into place.

Pros: Motherboard generally boots up and works without blue-screening

Cons: Motherboard, rated at being capable of DDR2 1200 MHz Qualified Vendor Memory with the BIOS AI Tweaker set to Auto only runs at 800 MHz. If the memory is configured to run at 1200 MHz, the motherboard takes a lot of time to boot, as it is then over-clocked and unstable. . Additionally, the ASUS AI Nap and PC Probe II software is flaky, and doesn't function because of Memory address errors. ASUS Tech support isn't much help, as their only remedy is to reformat the hard disk and re-install WinXP again. . This motherboard has been RMA'd back to NewEegg

Overall Review: NewEgg packaging for shipping is certainly not up to standard, with apparent laziness, the packers seeming just literally throw products for shipping in to carton, then throw the "popcorn" packing material on top and tape it up, leaving the product being shipped unprotected on the bottom. NewEgg gets one egg docked for their deficient and incompetent packers.

Pros: Okay, I have an e8400 running at 4.2ghz already, 525x8 stable, 1.35 volts... awesome. throw an e8400 or better and an hd4870, maybe two and you are set for 2 years if not more, things seem like they are slowing down, the i7's didn't look nearly as good as hyped up to be, so broke down and got the setup.

Cons: hmm i disabled express gate as soon as i found a vista cd, not even sure what the epu-6 does, read about an instant sleep mode and a raid configuration where 2 striped drives use a 2nd partition for a mirror. probably will never use unless I get bored...

Overall Review: worth 190$? probably not, but its a stable Ocer, and good ati support. got my fsb at 525megahearts so 2100mghz FSB.. ridiculous, NB is a little hot to the touch, but stays under 60C during load. also.. probably wont keep it this way.. Also paired with ocz platinum ddr2-1066 works fine, change timings in bios to 5-5-5-18, and set to 2.1 volts, then changed dram frequency to 1066, also when you up the FSB it automatically gives you a list of the frequencys so no confusing ram:fsb ratios... also people.. 100% of all 1066 ram starts off at 800 for "safe mode" incase your mobo applies wrong timings etc and it can't boot.. is NOT a con.

Pros: Good layout. Board went into my system easy, plenty of room for massive video card and CPU heatsink, nice top limits on RAM, lots of SATA and USB ports. Works great with my Intel Q9550. Heat piping for the chipset is nice since chipset fans are often the first to get noisy. BIOS update possible via USB flash drive.

Cons: From reading about this board, I knew I might need to update the BIOS before trying to install an OS. It was easy to do, though.

Overall Review: Out of the box mine was at BIOS level 7-something. I used the built-in BIOS update via flash drive to get it to 803, which I hear is the minimum for the latest quad core CPUs. Installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1 with no problems. Good board for someone who wants to leave their options open (memory- and connectivity-wise), but doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg.

Pros: High quality components, powerful BIOS for tweaking, dual BIOS nice, good onboard cooling, plenty of SATA ports, dual gigabit lan is handy, eSata is nice.

Cons: Placement of RAM, PCIx1 slots not so good (see below)

Overall Review: Overall, I like this board, the ease of use and the plentitude of OC possibilities, however: PCIx1 slots are poorly positioned. The lower PCIx1 slot will be covered by a double-thickness video card, which I would say is pretty standard to a mid or enthusiast level system builder. A long PCIx1 card in the top slot (such as the Asus Xonar) will overlap the #1 ram slot, and still has to be modified slightly for RAM to fit in the #2 slot... so forget about running all four slots of RAM in dual-channel mode. You would think that Asus would make sure their products play well together. I could have put the video card in the 8x slot and the Xonar to the lower x1 slot, but the 8x slot is so low to the bottom of the case as to restrict air flow to the video card. Otherwise, the board and all the drivers are rock-solid and a good performer.
