Asus has long had a notable reputation within the overclocking community and their P6T Deluxe motherboard builds on that tradition. Based on Intel's X58 Express and ICH10R chipsets, this ATX board is ready to host the newest LGA1366 Core i7 processors for ultimate powerful performance.

Up to 12GB of DDR3 1333 RAM can be installed with triple channel mode for increased performance. Get even more performance – up to 1600Mhz – through overclocking. Three (count 'em: three!) PCI-Express 2.0 x16 cards can be mounted for cutting-edge graphic power with support for either NVIDIA SLI or ATI CrossFireX. 100% all high-quality conductive polymer capacitors give longer life and higher energy efficiency by supplying power to vital components independently.

Get eight channels of HD sound from the ADI AD2000B audio chipset for pure, clear audio. Connect up to six SATA drives at 3Gb/s for high-speed data transfers as well as the option for multiple RAID configurations. Integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN allows bottleneck-free connections to other network devices at broadband speeds and eight USB 2.0 ports allows for nearly unlimited possibilities in connecting peripheral devices.

  • newegg Intel Core i7 Support Based on the Intel X58 Express chipset, the Asus P6T Deluxe supports the Intel's latest processer Core i7, to deliver ultra powerful performance.
  • newegg SLI or CrossFireX on Demand The Asus P6T Deluxe features three PCI-E 2.0 slots that support NVIDIA's SLI or AMD's CrossFireX configuration on Demand, provides a jaw-dropping graphics level you never seen.
  • newegg DDR3 Memory Support The Asus P6T Deluxe features six DDR3 DIMM slots to support up to 12GB of DDR3 2000MHz (O.C.)/1333MHz memory for extreme overclocking performance.
  • newegg Dual Gigabit LAN The integrated dual Gigabit LAN design allows a PC to serve as a network gateway for managing traffic between two separate networks. Dual Gigabit LAN means rapid data transfers from WAN to LAN without any added arbitration or latency.
  • newegg Q-Connector The Asus Q-Connector allows single-step connection and disconnection of chassis front panel cables with one complete module. This unique adapter ensures quick and accurate connections without the trouble of plugging cables in separately.
  • newegg S/PDIF Out Featuring coaxial and optical S/PDIF-out (SONY-PHILIPS Digital Interface) jack for digital audio output, the Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard provides convenient connectivity to external home theater audio systems while keeping the best signal quality without converting to the analog format.

Junk and more junk. Should have been called Crouching Tiger Hidden Junk. 2/17/2018 12:18:52 PM

Pros: Nice heatsink that covers the x58 chipset and VRM/MOSFET. I really wish modern board makers would still use the copper fins instead of these beauty blocks. Functionality over Form

I never had any problems with the Marvell controllers but I never tried using them either.

I actually like the Legacy IDE cable and that was very convenient. I was able to hook up a bunch of legacy devices into this board. Most x58 boards had this stuff.

The reason I picked this board is because EVGA didn't properly list the specs of their x58 3way SLI board.

Cons: The board ended up failing right after the warranty period expired. Don't know why or how. It stated with random system shutdowns then eventually the system would not work at all. I put the q-code reader in the debug port and it reads F.F.. I tried three different 1366 processors, different power supply, different RAM, tried to boot up with the board on a table......Nothing. Dead.

This board wanted nothing to do with overclocking my old Core i7-920 C0 stepping CPU. Even the most modest overclocks would cause the system to crash and I constantly got the "Overclocking failed" screen. It overclocked the Core i7-930 D0 stepping chip just fine but it wouldn't touch my C0 stepping chip. I tried BIOS updates and all sorts of tweaks to get it to work.

Later on I bought a revised EVGA x58 3-way SLi board and I had no issues giving that Core i7-920 C0 stepping chip a modest overclock. In fact, when it came to the 930, the EVGA board did a better job of overclocking that CPU. I didn't burn the board up because when I had the 930 in it, I only overclocked it to 4.1ghz, reasonable voltage, and for a very short period of time (3 weeks).

Then I came across another P6T Deluxe v2 board and it was no better. Another pile of junk. I ran two RX 480 cards in X-Fire with a Xeon x5690 CPU, and a Bug Chip towards the bottom of the board fried. The board still worked for a while longer but it died. The previous owner never overclocked and used the stock cooler.

The Driver DVD came with bloatware and other useless software. It looked like my HP Pavilion after I loaded everything. The PC ran like trash at first but I bought a couple of those old Samsung F3 drives and put them in Raid 0.

Overall Review: Worst f'in board ever. This is the worst board I have ever bought. Excuse me, I'm going to drown my sorrows in a Pepsi.

Amazing investment 8/13/2012 8:54:46 PM

Pros: I purchased this board 4 years ago. It has seen new memory, new GFX cards, and many new SSD / HDD. All-in-all one of the easiest, and stable boards to run 24/7 fully overclocked at 4Ghz without a blip. Truely amazing piece of hardware.

Cons: WISHHHHHHHHHH it had SATA III and PCIe 3.0

Asus doesn't care 2/27/2012 8:03:20 PM

Pros: Great board. Awesome features when I first purchased it three years ago.

Cons: Board has recently failed apparently. When coming out of sleep mode, now the board never works. Video never shows up and after having to powercycle the machine, the CMOS loses all settings. After changing the CMOS battery twice, then doing some googling, I find that the board has a known issue. I contacted Asus support, and was told that exceptions are not made and even though I am only a few months outside of warranty, I have to pay to fix this issue. I was quoted 120 dollars. Outrageous considering age of board and known issue.

Overall Review: I am very angry with the support I received with Asus and this may be the last board I buy from them.

Asus? 12/30/2011 5:43:59 PM

Pros: Its a motherboard
It works
Decent over clocking board
Decent reviews

Cons: I warn any one considering purchasing an Asus board to stop and think about it. If you have any problems with your board you might as well buy a new one. Asus is known for having customer service. I can give you my acc; I have owned my Asus p6t for nearly 2 years and I recently RMA'd it. I got it back and all the problems still persisted so I was told it would be replaced. I was also told that it is against warranty for Asus to replace my board with another one of equal value and then had to wait 2 months for another P6T... I tired of waiting and looked for something I could do, I found a section in the warranty that clearly states that they do in fact replace mother boards with products of equal quality... so after 2 months of constant calls, lies, and deceit, I finally told Asus that I had written a report to the better business bureau and was in fact going to take legal action. Only then did I get something done, I was told that mother board was suddenly on hold for me.

Overall Review: Asus has along way to go in order to catch up to the costumer service of other companies. I would ask that any one who wants a mother board purchase form another company and not support Asus.
It has been 2 and a half months and I am just getting my mother board sent to me, after hundreds of calls, reporting to the BBB and then threatening legal action. They still ahve never responded to me about the warranty which clearly states they they do replace mother boards. For any one having the same problem of finding a replacement you can find the warranty part on this website http://service.asus.com/Warranty.aspx under the mother board section within the title of Limitations of Liability. Which clearly states that they do replace motherboards with other products of equal or greater value and even go so far as to say that it is in leui of all other warranties expressed or implied.
Unfortunately I must give atleast 1 egg. Still 1 too much.

12GB 1600 RAM no prob! 5/24/2009 1:06:56 PM

Pros: I installed 12GB (6x2GB) of OCZ Platinum 1600mhz RAM with no problem. Booted up flawlessly, Vista recognizes it and so does CPUZ. Mind you, i'm running the RAM at 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24 timings and 1.5v as is what the bios set automatically when I chose the 1600mhz profile in AI tweaker and I have not yet played around with this.

Cons: Manual for this board (V1) states you can only install one 1600 dimm per channel, limiting you to 6GB max of 1600...incorrect.

Overall Review: I have a very early version of this board and have had no problems with it yet.

Great MotherBoard 5/22/2009 5:13:51 PM

Pros: I have had no major problems with this motherboard. I have had it since the i7 has come out and it has been rock solid. I have even managed to get my i7 to 4.1 Ghz on it. SLI and Crossfire on one board is also really nice.

Cons: The way the pci-e slots is set up is a little funky but I knew that going in.

It was pretty awesome 5/16/2009 3:02:20 PM

Pros: This motherboard was awesome and packed full of features. Sweet overclockablity, on board power button (which I ended up using a whole lot), asus express gate... loved it

Cons: And then it stopped working. One day while idling it turned off. I could get it to turn on after that, but it would surge on and off about 6 or 7 times before turning on, and then the USB ports stopped working... no more mouse for me. Went through hours of troubleshooting before evidence showed that it was the motherboard.

Overall Review: I'm a little disappointed in Asus, they have been falling off in the past few years. I see that there is a V2 of this board now which is probably what i'm going to get fro my RMA. Not looking forward to havin no computer while I wait for the RMA shipping. If they have any care for their customers, they will cross-ship me a new one.

Asus P6T Deluxe 5/12/2009 3:50:47 PM

Pros: Great motherboard, no problems at all with the rest of the parts, 100% compatibility with DDR3 1600MHz and there is option even to 2000Mhz in the BIOS.

Cons: Price $$$$ is to high.

Overall Review: In my opinion this is one of the best MOBO's on the market.
