Pros: Product description reads well.
Cons: After two RMA's (from Newegg) for dead mobo out of the box the 3rd board seem to work, UNTIL I added a second stick of ram. The board failed... Now that it is after the 30 day warranty and having to go straight to ASUS, it has been a total nightmare. POOREST customer service I have ever seen. Took a month for anyone to RMA this mobo and now a month later I still have this junk setting on the self with nothing being done by ASUS. Bought a Gigbyte mobo to cover until something happens with ASUS and not one problem. Best mobo I have ever owned. If you value your money, don't waste it on anything ASUS.
Overall Review: I know this review doesn't mean much but I for one feel better about the money I wasted on an ASUS product.
Pros: Just fired this board up last night and flashed it to the 1850 bios. It works great! The bios is much better than another certain brand of p67 board I tried. Very easy to navigate through.
Cons: Seems to have a longer boot time than the older motherboard I had by about 7 seconds.
Overall Review: To install windows, I had to hook my drive up to the SATAII connector then install the SATA drivers off of the website and then move the drive back over to SATAIII. Weird but not worth knocking an egg off.
Pros: Lots of features. ESATA, USB3, UEFI bios...
Cons: HORRENDOUS support. They just don't care. I received this board as a replacement and it died within two weeks. ASUS decided this was my fault since they refuse to give me an advanced exchange (1st one was advanced). The CSRs have their hands tied by policy and really just want you off the line, its impossible to talk to supervisors (you'll be on hold forever and wait for a call back that never comes), and they'll make promises that they never keep. I contacted their Newegg response email, their escalation email, their online ticket system, and their phone line (not toll free). All are the same, they take forever to respond to questions and end up doing zero. You have to push to get anything done. If u hang up w/o an immediate resolution, be assured you'll be calling again. On top of the terrible support the board itself is flawed. Everyone is having the same small set of issues. This is a terribly flakey board. Do not buy if you want a reliable system.
Overall Review: ASUS has really gone down hill. Now even my $500 ASUS Transformer Prime has speaker issues. The CSR tried to install random apps to get me to get me off the line instead of replacing the defective hardware. He tried to pass me off to another CSR to deal with design issues (GPS/wifi). If anything Asus is consistent in not caring about the customer. The ASUS of old is gone.
Pros: The BIOS for ASUS boards is incredibly easy to navigate.
Cons: This board must have had some issues from the start since my system was slightly unstable and wouldn't recover from hibernation mode. This was a small problem, so I just always did full restarts. 4 months in the system started to stutter, I don't know how else to describe it. The mouse, sound, network connection, everything, would hang for a fraction of a second and then recover. This would have dozens of times per minute intermittently. I tried memtest, RMA'd the RAM, checked processor for heat issues, cleaned CPU and reapplied thermal compound for fear that silver compound had caused an issue. Ended up biting the bullet and taking a stab in the dark by buying an MSI board and replacing this one. MSI has a terrible BIOS by comparison, but all the other problems are gone. This was an incredibly difficult problem to diagnose. ASUS wouldn't refund, but I'm making them ship me a new one, hopefully I can resell it to recap some of my expenses.
Overall Review: You're better off buying the MSI P67A-GD65. It's more difficult to setup a RAID on, but at least it's stable.
Pros: Stable, great at overclocking. Asus tweaking UEFI is great.
Cons: Lacks some RAID support due to SATA configuration when using 6Gb/sec Sata and 3Gb/sec Sata.
Overall Review: Great features for the price. Nice fit within a tight budget.
Pros: After over a year of debate with myself I decided to take the plunge Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend and buy the parts I needed to build my own computer from scratch. I had been looking around for quite some time at the piece parts and had recently ironed it out to the i7-2600k Intel chip as the backbone for my Video/Photo/Audio editing system. Next step... Motherboard. To me, the board was well made. Everything installed easily and I had no problems with the form, fit, or function when installed in the case. Once everything was installed, it powered on fine and I was into Windows in about 15 seconds. It has worked like a champ. I chose this board also because it has a built in Firewire port. I didn't want to have to add, just because. I need the 1394 due to some audio recording equipment I have that uses that interface. I absolutely love the GUI based BIOS implementation. It makes it so easy to overclock! Great job on that. Overall, I'm very very pleased with it.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: My build components: - i7 2600k - ASUS P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1 - Corsair Obsidian 650D Case - Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600 - Corsair H60 - EVGA GTX 560ti Superclocked - Seasonic X750 Gold - Sony Blu Ray Burner - Win 7 Pro - AFT Pro-55u Card Reader - Crucial 128GB SSD, CTFDDAC128-MAG-1G1 - DELL U2412 - Logitech Illuminated Keyboard Also, with this configuration, my Windows Experience index is 7.8 for the CPU, and 7.9 for everything else. Pretty awesome! One last note, I learned that if at all possible, wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday to buy your parts. I saved almost $500 by doing so! That's some serious savings!
Pros: Easy to overclock UEFI is nice Bluetooth allows me to monitor temps and control it via my android phone Freezing - yeah, it's AMAZING at freezing up
Cons: I have had it with this motherboard freezing. I have done everything that every other person has tried on the countless forums that go on for pages. UEFI updates, flashed the CMOS, re-installed windows, over-clocked RAM, under-clocked RAM, default RAM timings, manual RAM timings, disabled SATA ports, enabled SATA ports, switched HDD location to different SATA port - basically, short of sacrificing a baby calf, I have tried EVERYTHING. DO NOT buy this board. It is a waste of your time and will only cause you headaches.
Overall Review: I've spent too much time with this horrible board, I'm not going to spend more time by giving "other thoughts."
Pros: NONE, wont post, board was shipped with bent cpu pins that Newegg will not cover under warranty!
Cons: First I want to say that I build and repair computer systems for a living, I have put together over 100 LGA1155 socket systems alone. The cpu on the 1155 socket is of a flat design so there is nothing protruding on the cpu to bend the pins in the motherboard socket. I received the board and found out 4 of the pins were bent in the cpu socket of the motherboard! I returned the motherboard to NewEgg and was told the warranty was void BECAUSE THE PINS WERE BENT IN THE CPU SOCKET! --ah... yes thats why I returned it. Newegg stated it was my fault that the pins were bent and voided the warranty! Now I have an 180 dollar paper weight. I contacted ASUS and they also said that the warranty is voided if the pins were bent. So both NewEgg and ASUS assumed that I bent the pins, this is preposterous. There is zero possibility that I bent the pins on this board. This ended a very long relationship with me and Newegg, and I also will not buy an ASUS product again! BUYER BEWARE!!
