Overall Review: Originally placed a 1 egg review saying the motherboard was dead on arrival due to a short in the board (it would power on and off immediately). Right after posting the review, I did some more research and found out that this board only supports 8th gen Intel processors. So I checked the one I was trying to use and sure enough, it was a 7th gen processor. So I ordered the I5-8400 as a replacement and placed it in the board. Lo and behold, the system kicked right to life without any issues. So I guess the moral of the story is, don't make assumptions (it's a socket 1151 processor, it will work) and read the fine print lol. Received new processor on Sat and the system has been humming along without any hitches and all the features are working so I'm giving this product 5 eggs.

Pros: Everything works as it should, boot up time for Windows and M.2 drive is extremely fast. USB-C port for high speeds works well. This motherboard is a sweet, little beast :)

Pros: The MSI Z370i is a beast that is seeeeexy. The BIOS is easy to use and works great. All components on motherboard were identified, such as brand and type. I turned on XMP button and boom ram ran at 3200. So far smooth as butter.

Cons: My major complaint is that the ram slots are sooooo close to the 24pin hole for power. Or my ram (gskill trident z) is too fat. basically the power head has a tab to join the 20 and 4 pins and pushes against the closest ram stick so all Rams are pushing against each other. I wish there was a smidgen more space. another minor complaint is related probably to most itx cases. the first two data ports are not near edges so can't keep clean look. I'd suggest not using hd audio pins if you plan to use audio ports on mobos i/o ports, helps keep clean look if you have clear PC case. but if you need audio ports on your case then you'll need those pins.

Overall Review: I just wish the power pin slot was a little further away. The ram is slightly slanted and I don't like that, but that's me being picky. Everything works great. there are only two power pin slots (CPU and Case). if you want more get another Mobo or get a splitter. It was between MSI and Asus, but this Mobo was future proof, also had USB type c.

Overall Review: Another great product from MSI. If I need a motherboard or video card then I go with MSI. Their products are rock solid.

Cons: 1.No post, DOA, all fans run, graphics card starts (but no output) no post, no cmos, no boot, no display, stays that way. 2.Not the board I thought I bought 3, used: evga gold 1000Watt supply, I7 LGA-8700K, 2x8 trident Z RGB memory and 212 CPU Cooler,(ALL NEW)

Pros: Solid board if you are looking to do light overclocking.

Cons: For the price this board is lacking. I picked this board because of its rgb aspects (specifically with corsair). First off, mystic light that controls the rgb lights is a joke. The user interface on the desktop as well as the app is super confusing. There shouldn't be a learning curve to set the rgb lights to the color you want. Second, only certain lighting modes work. Rainbow mode, won't turn on. Solid red works, and that's cool if I wanted that but I don't. Even white works. But if I wanted to add an effect on the color, no Bueno, nothing. I installed corsairs led strips in its proprietary plug and it's distorted halfway through the strips. It's not the strips because I set them up through the commander and it works perfectly fine. The premium I paid for this board is not worth it. I'm just not getting what I paid for. Mystic light is a huge headache (it also takes control of rgb components that you don't want to be controlled by mystic light!). Please invest in that department msi. I feel so let down that I honestly can't say I'll look forward to buying another msi board.

Overall Review: The rgb feature on this board that separates itself from others just doesn't work. If you want rgb just go with Asus. There are other cheaper boards with more features. But if, you want an expensive board with minimum features and broken rgb then this is the board for you.

Cons: The one I received was DOA. No CPU power. Fans no POST. No room for expantion (RAM/VGA/NvME ect...).
