Cons: Despite the fact that the bios gives you lots of control over many settings, its still very clunky and getting into it takes a good 10+ seconds after you press the button at boot.
The USB 3.0 header isn't turned sideways for cleaner routing
Only one addressable RGB header
Polychrome Sync isn't very compatible with some RGB components
The chipset fan is distinctively annoying at first, although silent mode in bios fixes that
The chipset fan's placement makes it useless as any double fan video card will choke it out.
Useless HDMI out on the IO that could have been real estate for more USB ports
M.2 slots aren't as easy to access due to the heat sink armor.
Overall Review: First time with team red and this is the first AsRock motherboard I have owned. Plugged everything up to test for a post and couldn't get video signal. Dumb me finally remembered that the Ryzen 7 3700X doesn't have integrated graphics. Blame my being on team blue for so many years. AsRock really should have utilized that port space for something else.
The USB Type C header that everyone was complaining about seems to have been resolved in a revision as my header is safely out of the way of my video card and the RAM. However, its orientation still leaves something to be desired on the cable management side of things.
AsRock should really take a page from MSI and Asus on how to create a bios and some of the other software they have on offer. If they manage to do that I can 100% recommend this board to anyone. Still giving it 5 eggs for welcoming me to team red with a good working product at a good price.
