DIMM Slot issues 6 months in

Pros: Large board makes it easy to install components
The error codes and beeps are handy for when it breaks

Cons: DIMM slot issues
Not enough fan plugins

Other Thoughts: DIMM Slot issues popped up after 6 months, intermittent until it stopped working completely. Tried to RMA but was rejected due to slightly bent pins. Most companies will charge you a small amount to fix the pins and still RMA the defective product but EVGA rejected it entirely. I remember their customer support being top notch as recently as 2016 but they've changed. Their support ticket process won't even let you speak to the same customer support rep, every single reply goes to a brand new rep. I used to be a vocal supporter of EVGA but I would not recommend buying any product from them in the future.

Good motherboard with an issue.

Pros: Really good board thus far, I've had it in my system for about 2-3 months so far, has all of the bells and whistles that you'd expect with a board like this.
Bios looks nice and is well laid out
The M.2 Slot works with a bit of a firmware update on the M.2's side which was a pain but not the fault of the board
Good amount of fan outputs

Cons: Only con for this board for me is that the RAM doesn't post to its designed speed. I was troubleshooting it and it can't post anything above 2400, whereas my RAM is the G.Skill Ripjaw V series (16gbx2) is suppose to post to 3200 and with a board that is 300+ dollars you'd expect it to post at the designed speeds. I started the RMA process but found out it would cost about 100CAD to ship it down to the states with insurance, if I was to do this it'll start to turn into a 400 dollar board, plus the time it takes for me to take my system apart, and how long my system is out of commission when it is getting shipped back. I really expected this EVGA product, especially of this price, to work properly, and while they are willing to do an RMA on this board in the end it would cost too much.

Other Thoughts: I might recommend this product but would make sure people check other mobo's as I have had a very annoying problem with this one so far.

I do apologize for the troubles you are having with your EVGA z270 motherboard. I can assure you that we are here to assist and support you as best we can. Wicked board EVGA always delivers

Pros: Great board a bump up from my Z170

Feature rich in comparison to bad Intel duped the 270 line.

I got this as RMA from EVGA for my Z170, did a EVGA Advanced RMA which is as good as it gets with any company. I have always used EVGA and cannot speak highly enough of them.

I have dealt with other companies on other parts and EVGA's product quality, to RMA service, to the support is top notch. Their customer service should be a industry standard for the others to learn from.

Cons: NONE ever try EVGA and you wont be disappointed from Quality to top tier Support I have found to be unmatched

Other Thoughts: Of course I recommend
Pretty soon be running everything EVGA if they keep branching out :)

Well built

Pros: Just finished this build.and the construction of the board impressed.great fit and finish. Now juggling around trying to get the i/o panel to line up.Is running well so far.

Cons: The bios or uefi? was unfamiliar and the default settings would not work unless the keyboard was connected and maybe the mouse as well. Then I had trouble finding how to designate the boot drive. This is not my first build.I am not an expert but I have put together about 15 or more pc's and this was different as far as getting from the bios screen to the actual home page of my pc. (I have used the UEFI ? on several asus motherboards so it is not that I have never seen the new style before.but this one was different and not user friendly to a layman)Another reviewer made similar observations so it is not just me.Too many choices and not enough explanations.Am I the only person sick of acronyms ? I would still buy it again though.Took off an egg for the uefi. Runs great now.I know EVGA builds good stuff and their customer service is outstanding.

EVGA...

Pros: The board itself is durable. The quality of parts used is not called into question what-so-ever.
There are excessive fan headers for all your cooling desires.
BIOS controlled fan speeds with settings that are acceptable.
XMP Profile was a click and done.
The user manual covers plenty of topics related and non to install this board
Plenty of features to mess around with including:
External Temp Monitor for your CPU
Power Cycle on the Board itself
Bios flash button on the board itself, no jumpers necessary
Easy Overclocking with all the necessary facets co-located on a single page of the BIOS GUI
IRST Feature- you can manage your storage devices in the BIOS as well as with the desktop GUI. This was important for me because I am using Optane.
2 M.2 slots
Aside from the asinine layout of the USB 3.0 headers, this board has great architectural topology.

Cons: These are nit picky things but cumulatively it added up to me dropping an Egg.

-the M.2 screws come in standoffs. this means that the m.2 screws are microscopic. when I was installing my m.2 optane module, one of them exploded off the mount after becoming unseated, and I am not kidding when I say this, disappeared into oblivion. Granted this is mostly my fault, but a larger screw wouldn't have hurt, which was ultimately my solution 3 days later via newegg. It's a pain because stores just don't carry 3mm screws, not even fry's. I'll give you a guess as to how I know all this.
-The board initially wouldn't post with my hdmi monitor. O.O. It was just fortunate circumstance that I had purchased a d-link monitor to swap out. I wouldn't have even thought to do so without having read an article on the EVGA POST troubleshooting forums. Just a heads up to anyone purchasing this board, all peripheral devices (keyboard, mouse, etc) needs to be connected before the post in order for this board to post. Again, mostly an end-user thing. My pride would say 60/40 in favor of the board. >(
- M.2 slots are disabled as a default setting in the BIOS. Troubleshooting my optane build was a headache because I thought that both modules I had purchased were fault. I had to rummage around the BIOS to find the enable/disable feature of the m.2 slots (which there are 4 of for some reason...). After disabling the IRST, I enabled the slots in the board and guess what? it worked. End-user problem again, but as I stated, cumulative experience dictated the deduction of one egg.
- The outward peripheral connects on the board had me agitated. I barely attached my USB 3.0 cable to the header on the bottom of the board because of the PSU shroud I had in my tower (NZXT 340S Elite). I had to finagle the connector just right for it to be seated firmly. Again, this was something evga could've avoided. I understand that maybe, somewhere in the sulcus of someone's brain at EVGA that this idea sparked a storm of ...brains...but for the love of jesuits, WHY? It's not like psu shrouds are an uncommon feature today. For a $230 mobo, i'd have expected some better foresight on component physical topology.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this board for folks familiar with how EVGA does business. It's a high quality product, but, not for beginners. I wouldn't consider myself a beginner by any stretch and I had a couple issues with it. While my issues were self-inflicted, some were some frustrations with the manufacturer.

Overall: It's a great piece of equipment. It really does work well, I have had 0 issues since my headache setup. I know that mobo's these days don't particularly speed up the rig, but, I want to believe that this board does.

Great Motherboard

Pros: Appears to be of high build quality. User-friendly BIOS/UEFI. Seems very reliable so far. Nice CPU temp readout.

Cons: Like others, I'm not a fan of the outward-facing connectors on the edge of the board. I had to buy a low-profile USB 3 header adapter cable to connect the thick USB front port cable that came with my Corsair Carbide 500R case. Other connectors directly above the power supply were hard to access, but useable.

Other Thoughts: I have had great success with EVGA products so far. US tech support is an obvious plus.

Form follows function

Pros: -Sleek look
-Beefy VRM heatsink
-No superfluous features (May be con for some)
-EVGA warranty and support (Best in the biz)

Cons: -only 1 USB2 header
-USB2/3 headers, 2 fan headers are facing downwards. May be inaccessible depending on case/power supply shroud

Other Thoughts: If you want a no-frills Z270 mobo made with the best components then look no further.

No issues, worked good.

Pros: Very reliable, user friendly bios

Cons: The ports at the bottom of the board are unusable in an ATX case with the power supply at the bottom, there is no room to plug anything in.
